Sapporo Grand Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city center next to a plethora of shopping and culinary choices all within walking distances. It also has a direct access to the underground walkways which joins directly to the JR station as well as the subway network.

We (2 adults, 1 child) had a lovely, quiet, large 3 twin-bed room on an upper floor corner for our three night stay in Sapporo. Easy access to the underground walkway, both to get to/from the train station and to/from subways, tourist spots, etc, which came in handy when the temperature dropped and not having to pull suitcases over slushy sidewalks. Very happy with our stay!

You cannot beat the location. Staff is nice. I went with a lower star rating, as there is no Gym or work out facility on property. Rooms are small. Again, people are nice and hard working. miscommunication w/concierge / check in staff.

삿포로에서 또 방문하고 싶은 호텔
나 홀로 갑작스러운 여행으로 방문한 호텔에서 기대 이상의 경험을 누렸습니다. 커다란 호텔에선 만족할 만한 서비스를 받기 힘든 게 대부분입니다. 이 호텔은 개개인에게 맞춤에 가까운 서비스를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 만족도 높은 조식까지 이용할 수 있었습니다. 그 금액이 서비스에 걸맞는 수준보다 합리적이기도 했습니다. 위치 또한 삿포로역에서 가깝고 리무진 버스로 공항을 오갈 수 있는 장점도 있습니다. 내부 시설이 조금 세월이 흘렀지만 모든 장점과 비교한다면 전혀 문제없는, 아니 신경쓸 이유가 없을 정도로 훌륭합니다. 추천하고 싶은 호텔입니다.

This is my 2nd booking within my trip. First time I stayed east building and I find it really not bad. But this time I chose the annex building and I regretted. It was the quadruple room. The room itself has many door, one to pathway, one to toilet, one to bed. The bed one was good, aircon was strong. But the toilet and pathway was so stuffy. I stayed in the toilet for 2min and I had headache. So I went down to reception to change a room. Chose to downgrade my room without compensation as I really find the room in annex building stuffy. Thank god, they had another room(twin room, but they added in extra bed for me) and it was so so so so much better. So if you don’t mind stuffy room you can book the annex building, else please choose easy building. Understood that I wanted to downgrade my room and there will be no reimbursement, if hotel offer some other kind gesture to compensate like even a small cookie will have been better. Nevertheless, I want to thank the guy that help us move the luggages twice to different room.

We booked 2 room. The room size is okay, left my luggage there for 6days and returning for another few day stay. Bathtub was awesome. Hotel borrowed us cable and adapter as well. Just that distance wise I find it a little far to walk from Sapporo station. (I think can do it from other station might be nearer?) Overall not bad! But definitely there is still room for improvement!

Elegant hotel with art deco from the 1930s. Inexpensive. Totally convenient and clean. Full service hotel. Near Sapporo train station with train service to the airport. Superb acess to underground walkways extending to Susakino. Minutes walk to finest steakhouse in Sapporo - Ikinari steakhouse. Starbucks on ground floor opens at 7:30 am, but crowds up quickly after 9 am and stays crowded all day. Both multiple Lawsons and 7-11 a step away. Rooms can be a little too warm, but not a big problem. We go there often and will continue. Good dining with buffet breakfast. Love the rooms that are especially large. Try it.
