It was easy to access by road from Hakodate avoiding the city centre. we drove to Otaru via Jozankei spa and the Asari dam, a beautiful route. We also drove up to Mt Moiwayama for the night view -very close by. The hotel offer a few shuttle buses into the city.

Beautiful European style hotel, albeit slightly old which I suppose is the charm of the hotel. Extremely central to the JR station without being too crowded, a nice 10 minute stroll even if you’re lugging bags. Was checked in by Ms. Tasegawa who is a true gem to the hotel, speaks adequate English ...

This location is conveniently located near downtown, but it is easy to reach the highways.

Great location and walkable to the main area. Cozy and modern hostel. Room is a little bit squeezy for 2 pax but it is ok for 1 night. Toilet and bathing rooms are comfortable and clean! Heater throughout the building made the stay comfortable as well. Staff were friendly and spoke good english.
Overall, the accommodation was good and comfortable.
Air conditioning not adequate. Pricey hotel but that may just be Sapporo.
Walking to Susukino takes about 7-10mins at a leisurely pace. Wifi connection was excellent (able to stream of Youtube videos at 1080p). Hotel staff were very courteous. Room was functional. Only downside is only 1 small pillow provided in the room. Would definitely stay in this hotel again!

Traveling with all your ski equipment can be a drag, depending on your transportation choice. We'd suggest that you stop by the sports equipment stores in town for snowshoes, a coat, and other outerwear, then it will be time to head up the mountain. Don't forget to take in the views of the vast stretches of pristine snow and rugged backcountry. You'll be wowed as you feel the snow on the nose of your skis and the wind in your hair as you fly down the gradients. If it's your first time skiing, check with your concierge to see if they offer ski lessons, so you will not catch an edge on your way to the bottom.
After a morning on the slopes, you just might want some time to warm up. See if the front desk knows about any warmer activities in Sapporo to help you warm up. They might have some family-friendly ideas, such as roasting s'mores over a bonfire, board games at the hotel, nearby movie theaters, or bowling alleys. They might be able to give you some kid-free activities too, such as a cozy bar with cocktails to warm you up, a spa on the hotel property, or a 21 and up club. And when your night is over, you will have amenities in your hotel room that you can take advantage of, like a mini-bar or a movie. What are you waiting for? You're just minutes away from your booked ski-cation!
