we thought it was a hotel - it's a motel
Posted Sep 18, 2016
We arrived and were horrified to find that it was not a hotel, but a motel. this gave us concerns because my wife is allergic to bug bites and had already been hospitalised due to a previous couple of incidents before arrival. Whilst checking in I shared with reception that I thought it was a hotel I was booking. We could not get reliable wifi to work in spite of the many resets of the router by the helpful and kind staff. On our second day, the 27th August after meeting a friend at the Ringling for lunch we decided to go home early because of the risk of bug bites and the lack of wifi which we needed to keep in touch with family in UK. When I checked out at 3:00 p.m. I asked reception if there was anything to be done, but because of the time they were unable to make a refund. I am disappointed about this.

We appreciate you feedback and are glad that you shared your thoughts with others. We do have exterior entrances which may give it a motel feel, but with the large amount of guest rooms that we offer, we are definitely a hotel. We do have a great location and area happy to hear that you were able to enjoy the area attractions. We only wish our 24 hour staff could have helped with your WiFi needs as we are always available. We look forward to perhaps exceeding your expectations on your next visit to the Sarasota area.
