Excellent internet in the room, quiet and nice.

Pros: wifi
Location: very nice downtown, and very good beaches
We stay for one nigth, it has very good wifi in the room, and is a quiet place to spend some days in Sarasota.

Location: Approximately 30 minutes to Siesta Key Beach, several minutes to Sarasota Jungle Gardens, 20 minutes to Mote Aquarium
I booked a nonsmoking room with a king sized bed. I checked in and they put me in a smoking room with two queen beds. The room absolutely stunk. I requested to be moved to a nonsmoking room, which is what I reserved. I refused to have my 4 year old child sleep in that room. The manager there told me she could not move me due to lack of vacancies. I called Expedia and they were going to transfer my reservation to a new hotel. At this point, approximately 2 hours later, the manager approached me and informed me she had a nonsmoking room available. The room smelled much better but the bathroom was covered in black mold and mildew and the tub was slimey; I had to use a wash cloth to clean the tub before it could be used. It ended up being a fairly quiet week at the hotel and I am nearly certain there were nonsmoking rooms available the entire time.

In assistance when booking the lowest discounted rates through 3rd party sites, be aware of what the reservation is, cancellation policies, and guarantees. Your reservation reserved a "room" or "bed", the type of booking that you reserved does not guarantee what you book, it is based on availability. Please read cafefully the policies of the 3rd party sites. You are however correct, we did have a cancellation and we did change your reservation for you in appreciation of your concerns. In all fairness, we could have addressed your concerns during your extended stay or cancelled your reservation. In high volume times of the year, please double check in the future just exactly what you are booking.

Great Hotel for the price!

Pros: The friendly staff (Pam at the front desk) and the breakfast!
Cons: The cleaning crew used just a bit too much bleach, but if that's the worst thing, then I wont complain. :)
Location: Great location, near the airport and minutes from beaches, shops etc
Was hesitant to stay at this hotel based on the reviews, but it was spring break and options were limited. People this hotel for $100 or less was a GREAT hotel!!! Rooms were clean & had a fridge, microwave, flat screen tv & a quiet air conditioner. The breakfast every morning was MORE THAN AMPLE! With choices from fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, oatmeal & fresh waffles, juice and coffee. ALL FOR FREE!!! For the price it is more that 2.5 stars unless you are just a complaining unhappy person,then it wont matter if its the Ritz... just sayin. Days Inn Sarasota you have my vote 100% Thanks for a great stay!!

Towels were wet still, food left in the refrigerator from previous guests. And there was a mildew smell. Never again

Thank you for your feedback. You are correct, there was not a receipt for you because you had already paid hotels.com. When booking with a 3rd party site, you pay the site with your prepaid reservation and then they pay us with their information. We hope to see you again.
