Rooms were very musty. Requested to move but the other room was about the same. Bathroom had mildew and the main light was out. Pricing of the room was okay and staff at the desk was friendly and helpful.

Well located, great value with excellent breakfast

For our surprise, the room was very comfortable and had all that we needed and the breakfast was excellent, you save half of the money eating there.They offer coffee and fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. The pool is not to big and be sure to take a good mosquito repellent because they are vicious. The only thing that was not good was the Internet access. Very poor and slow.

Keep Looking unless you only need a bed

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
The "keymaker was broken meaning we had to be let into our room EACH time by front desk staff. The pocket bathroom door was so warped from humidity that we could not open or close it ( stuck at half way) They attempted to accomadate...but the door was the same. Continental breakfast was less than average. It IS close to the airport

Best hotel for the price

Pros: Quietness, location, price
Cons: Update facilities
Location: Just down the street from downtown Sarasota, easy drive to St. Armand's Circle, Siesta Key Beach (and others), right by the entrance to the airport.
You can spend $100 more a night to get a better hotel, but for the price the Sleep Inn at Sarasota Airport is the way to go. I have stayed here numerous times, and have not been awoken by noise as is the case in lesser hotels. Staff is pleasant, cleanliness is fine, the overall condition of the hotel is just OK but is offset by the price - I am willing to deal with a bit of wear and tear for a significant savings. Highly recommended and the location is fantastic.

On previous vacations we stayed here, we had good experiences but this time was a bit different. Got in shower to find no wash towels. Called desk and was told housekeeping would not be back till tomorrow afternoon. They recommended for me to come down to desk to get one. We felt at least they should had brought them to us. We were on top floor (3rd) and we had roofers doing repair work on the roof over our room @ 7:00 am everyday. On last morning we found a roach in the bathroom floor. I don't know if we'll be back.

Good location...very quiet!

Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room. I work in healthcare and did the bedbug check and there were no sightings!
Cons: The pool is small and should have cool water added throughout the day. Too warm..
Location: It is very centrally located. Not too far from anything in Sarasota.
This hotel is nestled back from the road and very quiet. The building is very dated but very clean. The front desk people and cleaning staff were extremely nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful!! The bed was very comfortable. The room is a bit small, but it served its purpose. Very close to the airport...literally across the street!

Poor hotel

First thing , that card reader doesn't work. The room the give me was smoking and I was order no smoking. I needed to waiting with my family for other room. The second room it not in good condition, bad paint bad smell and the shower really nasty. I may recesvation for three day and I cancel the other two same day. Horrible.

Lots of issues

We arrived late couldn't wait to get some rest. Had to wait on the staff to return to the desk for awhile, that was fine. Then we couldn't get into our room, nor could he. So we tried the next room, same thing we couldn't get it. He had to manually open this door. We couldn't leave our room at all or we couldn't return unless one of us stayed behind. I have three children and that's not happening. Then there were so many water leaks all over the ceiling.. The beds were actually not that bad, the bathroom was so small and uncomfortable Sadly it doesn't have a normal door to shut and lock. For a quick sleep it's okay, for a week I wouldn't stay uncomfortable like that.

Kind staff, dreary rooms.

Staff was easy to work with and very efficient. Hotel is old and needs updating. The rooms are musty, small and drab. Okay for one night. Better options very close by.
