Adequate rooms, great location, so-so parking

Posted May 21, 2017
Rooms have been updated and are comfortable and the location can't be beat right in the center of downtown, but the surprise parking inadequacy left a sour taste. While the hotel boasts free parking on site, there are only 19 spaces for 42 rooms. The desk clerk non-chalantely stated that free parking was available in a garage behind the hotel. With 3 suitcases and 95 degree heat, that was a serious inconvenience. The attitude of the desk clerk that this was business as usual made the matter worse. Otherwise everyone was fine.

Friendly staff, perfect location

Posted May 18, 2017
Pros: Bonus: super friendly staff.
There is no disguising the bones of this place: it's an old-school budget motel. BUT--they've done a great job of updating the rooms, and the place is immaculate. I've definitely paid more to stay in places that were not this clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is unbeatable. The only caveat is that half the rooms face directly on to Broadway, and you will hear the noise of this busy street. That's a positive for me, but it might not be for everybody.

What's expected in a cheap hotel but more.

Posted May 3, 2017
A very comfortable stay...Clean and lots of features to the room and hotel. The bed was hard, but sleepable. Very nice people working there. Very professional with everything...Price is Right but you get a lot for your money.

Motel right in the middle of a historic town.

Posted Mar 30, 2017
Pros: Helpful greeting at reception. Location right in the middle of Saratoga Springs. Very reasonable cost. Cleanliness.
Cons: Better TV service - more channels. Location of pool can create some noise in the room when people are using it.
Location: Saratoga Springs is a wonderful town, half-way between Montreal and New York City. Excellent shopping, restaurants, and historic atmosphere.
Clean and comfortable room. Wonderful location - fall out of bed right into the middle of historic broadway. Easy parking. Personal and helpful service. We will definitely stay here again. Our new go-to-place in Saratoga. Low price in a very high-price town.

Great Location

Posted Mar 29, 2017
If what you need you need is convenience, this is the place for you. It is not swanky, or lush, or even pretty, but it is clean and in the heart of town. A decent breakfast is provided if cereal, fruit, yogurt and toast makes you happy. The shower is awesome, the bed and towels suffice. The parking is inadequate, but once you get a spot, you really needn't move your car if your business is in town.

Very good motel, great location.

I figured I'd try the Downtowner because of location. You step out of your door, and you're right in Saratoga's downtown. Walk to everything, except the track. Perfect for me.
