Conveniently located clean hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, restaurant
Cons: Parking
Location: Location is very convenient - next to highway before Canada-USA border bridge. There is a park nearby.
Very nice hotel for someone who wants to stop on US-Canada border. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is great: you can get a dinner with freshly caught fish and free cooked breakfast buffet. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Comfortable and Clean for a Three Star

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable bed, pillows and quilt. A/C was in perfect order given the heat wave.
Cons: The complimentary breakfast was below average.
We had two hotels to choose from Holiday Inn and Quality Inn which both shared the guest ranking. We stayed July 24th just two doors from the front desk. We did not book at the Holiday Inn again as it was moldy and weathered. We expected the same for Quality Inn but were pleasantly surprised. It was quite clean for a 3 star hotel. No smell or a damp moldy feel. The shower tiles were spotless and the bathroom and bedroom were overall clean. The bed was so comfortable. It was worth staying at Quality for the bed alone. The front desk staff were very nice as well.

Traveling with family

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Location of the hotel is right off the highway so quite convenient. Rooms are good sized but washrooms are tiny. Shower was leaking water from the sides so the toilet seat got wet. Carpet in the room looked old and used. Breakfast setup is great but the food could be better. The scrambled eggs were ovecookef and dry. The french toast was delicious. Need to keep the breakfast meats separate from the non-meat items for thise of us who are vegetarians or do not eat pork.

Pleasant stay over Fourth of July

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Location near the bridge and great staff
Cons: Room to look more like the advertised photos; softer towels.
Location: The hotel is close to most everything: the bridge, riverfront, Tim Horton's -- although not within easy walking distance.
This is our second time staying at this particular hotel in Sarnia. The location is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room last stay was much nicer than this time. The room lacked the colorful dust ruffle and quilt we had last stay; now only a white duvet cover and sheet wrapped box springs. There are plenty of pillows (6 on a king) but all are firm and too fluffy. The towels were clean but not very soft -- may be the water there. There s no elevator (at least no one showed us one) so you have to lug your bags upstairs. Ample free parking is available and free breakfast. The lounge is open in the evening for beverages (beer & wine too).

First time guests

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: Super clean, comfortable, good sized rooms, nice little touches from staff, and the free buffet breakfast is a wonderful idea, sad we slept in!
Cons: Softer pillows
Location: Short distance from downtown Sarnia, liquor stores, convenience stores, banks and not too far from the casino or beach. Not a bad location at all! :)
Stayed at the hotel during a wedding weekend while home from Edmonton, usually stay at the Holiday Inn but as it was a last minute trip and Holiday Inn was booked we thought we'd give this one a try, and glad we did. Would stay here again. Rooms were pretty basic hotel rooms, had a King room with a couch and though some of it was a little dated, room was spacious, very clean and very well kept. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom was bright and very clean, and the complimentary makeup wipes were a great touch, appreciated! Only thing that we missed was having the option between soft or hard pillows, and a pool! Thank you for the excellent service.

Nice hotel in decent location.

Pros: The rooms and building were really clean. The hotel restaurant is fantastic, great food at a great value.
Location: The location is right off the highway which makes it nice.
I stayed here for a week and was really happy with my stay. There isn't a single thing wrong with the hotel and staff. The beds were comfortable, rooms clean, staff friendly and a great restaurant attached to the hotel. The location is right off the 402 which makes it nice to get around. One evening I went out downtown and it was a 10 dollar cab ride. Overall, great hotel and I see myself staying there next time I am in town.

Hotel was very clean and modern. It was a good location, near the major highways. Arrived late but staff where very pleasant. Restaurant staff very courteous and helpful. The only thing was that the lighting was fluorescent and my daughter has a medical condition that does not like fluorescent lights, but we were able to change the lighting so she could enjoy her stay. Led lights were much appreciated in the restaurant. Maybe LED lights would work better and save you money!!!
