Lovely attention to detail

Pros: Luxury, attentive staff and local tour bus stops outside. Food was spectacular.
Location: Tour bus stops right outside, metro close by and only 10 minutes in to city centre. Quieter part of town.
Stayed four nights at this lovely, luxurious hotel to celebrate my husbands birthday. Very attentive staff and accommodate your needs efficiently. The meal in the restaurant was a unique experience and one both my husband and I will remember for a lifetime. Ye sit is expensive but worth a bucket list tick ✅ The tour bus stops right outside the hotel, metro is easy too. Las ramblas is about 45 minutes walk. Ideal hotel and would recommend highly. Thank you.

Great Barcelona Experience

Great hotel with exceptional staff and service. The rooms a quiet, clean and have a sophisticated design and feel. The staff are amazingly available and helpful. The restaurant is a foodies paradise, featuring an unusual and very interesting wine list highlighting Catalonia. We really enjoyed staying at ABaC, and will stay there next time we visit Barcelona.

The hotel is fabulous, but avoid the restaurant

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, the neighborhood is quiet, and it's very easy to get to city center. Our room was lovely & spacious, with a large terrace on which we enjoyed the excellent room service breakfast each morning. The staff are friendly, incredibly helpful, & very professional. They speak impeccable English. The spa was also lovely - we made use of the hot tub & pool. We also got massages - the masseuses were great & very nice. The only disappointing part of the stay was our highly anticipated meal at the 2 Michelin starred restaurant. We chose the avant-garde tasting menu & one wine pairing. We have adventurous palates & have been working through the Michelin list, and this is the worst food experience we've had. The food was simply not good. The staff were stellar - helpful & attentive, which definitely improved the experience. The room service menu is excellent- we loved everything we tried. Highly recommend ordering the a la carte items to your room instead & forgoing the restaurant- it'll save you $$$ & you'll get an excellent meal. Overall - definitely recommend this hotel.

The best kind of small hotel

I don't usually notice the service I get from hotel staff - unless it is particularly bad - but I have to say the staff at this hotel were exceptional (and I've stayed at some top hotels). Arriving late and being let in at the gate, a receptionist came up in the lift to greet me and take the bag. Staff helped with everything I needed, including charging phones, getting taxis, finding the right food etc.nothing out of the ordinary but done in such a way that I felt cared for rather than just another customer. It's rare to find that kind of graceful service so thank you and well done.

Great hotel and a restaurant with fabulous breakfa

ABaC is a great small hotel, out of touristy areas of Ramblas and Barceloneta. It's character and attention to details sets it apart. With a green cover all around, it's a sanctuary of sorts. Of course the added advantage of having Chef jordi cruz around and taste a Traditional or a Grand tasting menu is a feast of flavours and an experience by itself.

this hotel will set a benchmark for all new hotels

Pros: everything about the hotel made you feel special and relxed
Cons: nothing
Location: A little bit further out of the madness of the tourist area but there is lots of beautiful buildings and good eating places where the locals go
you open the secure doors to a world of modern design with a hint of the traditional. From the luxurious curtains that drape the walls to the high quality flooring, this is presents a haven of tranquility close to the centre of Barcelona. All the furnishings are of the highest quality with the bathrooms outstanding with high end toiletries and robes. The food complimented the rest of the hotel and the staff was excellant.
