Nice hotel and view, not a great restaurant

We've stayed at this hotel twice now, and it was far enough apart that we had forgotten the quality of the food and food services wasn't the greatest. Both times we retired to the lounge for a nightcap and were seated in a spot with terrible glare from lighting, right beside a waiter station where they stood immediately beside our table to put in orders, which in itself isn't terrible. But when the waitress insists on yelling over to a table 3 booths away from you loud enough to overcome the table's drunken ramblings it gets a bit much. Coupled with a evening coffee that was basically weak caffeine and a shot of low quality whiskey, and a cheesecake that had the consistency of pudding, we started getting flashbacks of our previous stay.
Despite this we decided to treat ourselves to a room service breakfast; we ordered a simple eggs, bacon & toast meal. It came with eggs, undercooked potato hashbrowns, sausage, and no toast. 5 minutes later the problem was quickly rectified with an apology, but it's hard to imagine how incredibly they managed to mess up the simplest of requests. Again, not the first time.
In any case, the room was nice, the view of the river good, and the pool and waterslide of decent quality.

Thank you for the kind words about the hotel and the feedback. I am truly shocked to head of the poor experience in the restaurant and I will definitely review with the team. My sincerest apologies, our restaurant is so much better then the impression we left you with.
