Our expectation was high. On the day we checked in, there were some situations happening and cops were there in the hotel. No breakfast was provided even though the hotel website said continental break fast was included. The rooms were so congested and small without any closets for hanging the cloths. If Microwave was turned on, then the room electric circuit breaker trips Beds were terrible, not comfortable. The pipe has turned on and allow the cold water to run for 2 or three minutes for hot water to show up. To summarize, Thrift lodge Saskatoon is a terrible place to stay and I would not recommend this place to anyone else. Only thing, it is cheaper, but even if you pay a few dollars more, it will be worth to stay in other better hotels. Here, you will need to pay the full amount upfront and is not refundable that even if you want to cancel and move to other place, it will not be possible.

The washroom in the hotel is not proper clean, Bed sheet and comforter has little stain on it. Towel are not properly wash stains are visible . Bad smell in the room.

sheets had blood and dirt stains on them. Blanket had a massive rip in it exposing the insides. Got moved to another room that was equally as gross. Door didnt even lock and none of the outlets worked. Didnt even stay the night

Room had no heat a 1500 watt portable heater was not good enought to heat room with door not fitting proper you could see light from around and under door at -15 c the room was cold sidewalk was ICE covered causing me to slip and FALL the manager said he was trying to do his best but offered nothing very poor pla e to stay

Booked 2 nights and when we checked into our room it was disgusting, i didn't expect this of a nice chain. There was hair all over the hed sheet on one bed and the other ones sheets were visibly dirty, looked like someone wore boots to bed and the dirt rubbed into the sheets. Me and my fiancee couldn't even bring ourselves to set the bags down, we turned checked both beds turned around and walked out. Went down the road and booked another hotel, so we are down the 2 nights stay on an already fragile budget. We get the room because we blew a tire leaving the airport and we were too broke to buy a new one so we changed it to our temporary tire and limped it over to the thrift lodge hoping we could sleep it off and just try to limp it home the next day. But this incident literally brought my fiancee to tears because of all the stress in the situation. I would really appreciate a refund, and a chance to apologize before we both leave reviews online.

Smoking room smelled quite horrible and was in rough condition. Dog poop at the base of the stairs. Many cigarette butts in the parking lot. No one at the front desk or answering the phone (during posted operational hours). Great price. Both front desk people I dealt with were great. Tv volume didn’t work and remotes had limited functionality

Don't like to be negative but perhaps this is helpful. The two different people at the desk were very friendly and very helpful. The ice covered parking lot was hazardous. The room was not well cleaned.

We didn’t even stay the night, we checked the room the coverlets were stained, we found the sheets covered in short curly hairs. We refused to sleep in Sheets that couldn’t be cleaned and free of hair. We ended up staying in a different hotel.

Cockroaches, 210. I used to have a structural applicators certificate and have 2 years experience in spraying for cockroaches and heat remediation for bedbugs. The conditions here need to be addressed, I saw all the signs of live infestation just from observing things, not opening anything. Literally out of some kind of comedy sketch, one adult roach watching me from the tv stand as I watched tv lol! And there were nymphs running all over. Sick and disgusting, I packed up after an hour and went somewhere else. Hopefully I didn’t bring any travellers.

It was a warm place to sleep for the night, staff was nice, and the breakfast medicore but at least it was offered. Negatives was dirty, rundown and its in one of the bad neighborhoods of Saskatoon.

Great to be able to drive up to our room door - easy for loading and unloading. Great price - good breakfast and super friendly staff. Room had a few things that needed to be fixed (long weekend no cleaning staff) but great price for basic motel

Staff were friendly and accommodating to switch rooms after other guests were having a domestic in a nearby room. Also.. beware of homeless people bothering you for smokes, change, lighters, or if they can play fetch with your dog :/ …there’s a tent city in the bushes behind the hotel.

I liked the convenience of themotel style room with door to outside, and parking spot. The feee breakfast that ran late, until 10 a.m and 11.00 a.m check out time was mice too.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. The manager front end staff are unprofessional, harasses you and make you stay very unpleasant. The rooms are cold and dirty ! BEWARE OF THIS PROPERTY !

Hi Cody. Please come speak with me personally. You must find us pleasant as you keep booking here daily. You posted this but you keep booking here wanting cheaper rates, no security deposit, and always late to pay. We are not being unreasonable and our staff are just sticking to the suggested rates that are provided and following booking policy to have a credit card or a cash deposit. We are more flexible than most properties but ask our customers to respect the policies knowing we are more flexible then all properties(can pay cash deposits)

Lots of scuffs, nicks and general lack of maintenance. Booked a queen room, only a double in room. TV not set up properly with remote, have to turn TV on by hand. Water pressure poor. Weather stripping around doors needs replacing, can see daylight around door on this unit and can see interior lighting around other doors at night, not exactly eco-friendly. Only one electrical outlet available at desk other than in bathroom.

I have never been so disappointed with a room the first room was filthy with stains on everything but also had some thing bubbling from the floor tiles. They swapped us into another room but the room was not much better. And when i mentioned the maple bugs the girls responce was oh god there everywhere and you canr get rid of them. I was there for my mothers funeral and already stressed so this room did not help only added to the stress as they would not refund me so i could go elsewhere
