Excellent location within walking distance of many of Savannah's highlights, bars & restaurants. Charming old building. For many rooms, you do have to deal with stairs, but they make that very clear when you are reserving your room.
Doug, who greeted us at the front desk, was charming! Helpful about where to go and what to do and replenished our coffee! The history of the Inn is fascinating and made for wonderful stories to share.
First, I would like to say that the restaurant is excellent. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. On the not so good side, we stayed in Room 304, across the street from the restaurant. While I understand that the building is old it clearly has not had any care put into it and is run down. It could use a fresh coat of paint, new carpets and blinds. The room and bathroom were very dirty. Dust everywhere! The blinds in the bathroom are falling apart and covered in dust. I think for the price that we paid some TLC could be put into the rooms. We were very excited to stay here, but ended up extremely disappointed.
