A bit dayed

Rooms are close to beach and price is reasonable, if you aren't too picky. Photos on website do not appear current. AC did not keep room cool during the day.

Pros: The rate. It was clean
Cons: When booking room you should know about the steps if you are in a second floor room
Location: All good
A change in check in time without notice. if cleaning person had not been there we would not have gotten in room at original time after driving 8 hrs.

Great location, clean room. NO PARKING! NO STAFF! It's basically just renting a room in a house. All in all, a good experience.

Charming stay right by the beach!

We spent two nights in this cozy and comfortable hotel. The rooms have an old charm about them and something you don't find in a chain hotel; character. The minimal staff interaction was pleasant and being a hop, skip and jump from the beach is a HUGE plus. If someone I knew was going to Tybee Island to vacation, the 17th St Inn is the first place I would recommend. We'll be back.

Pros: Close to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars. Location.
Cons: I expected a balcony which was stated in the brochure. Was very noisy, everything could be heard in the next units. Some insulation would be useful.
Hard to figure out how to registrar into this Inn. Had to phone a number that was posted on a sign in front of the Inn. Have never had this experience before. Once I figured this out everything was great. Loved the location, close to the beach. Never had to take out the garbage before but that was okay. Parking was different, on the street. Overall, pretty good, but the walls were very thin, do not need to hear people in their bathroom!

Quaint, cozy, and very shabby sheek. A cottage feel, this would be great in the summer! We came in February, and it was very peaceful. This inn is just steps from the beach. You will need to call when you arrive for the key code, and the Inn keeper is very sweet and helpful. There is a kitchenette so one could stock up and barbaque out back! It was very relaxing.

Bed, no breakfast

Pros: Location; good comparable value.
Cons: Cleanliness; appliance upgrade; paint; staff on site for breakfast - not really a B&B without it.
Location: 1/2 block from the beach.
I called the owner a couple of times regarding the check-in process - she never seemed to have a clue about my reservation. Not what you want to hear. No one on duty at all at the inn. Could use a good cleaning, but comfortable enough and a good location for the Critz Tybee Half-marathon start and finish.

If you love Tybee Island, you'll love The 17st Inn

Pros: Location, location, location!
Cons: Some things are needed to be fixed and painted, but everything worked as it should.
Location: One block from the beach, IGA down the main drag, and plenty of resturaunts, bars, eateries and beach supplies all within walking distance from Inn
The Inn matches the southern, quirky, laid back attitude of Tybee Island. Your room key is taped to your door with a nice welcome note and a copy of the house rules. The room is small, clean, nicely appointed and stocked with enough towels, dishes and supplies. It's patina shows it age but matches with what Tybee offeres to all visitors. It is so different from Florida Beaches and all their development and expensive "Resorts". Manager Gary offers local points of interest as well as local history with a smile. The beach is one block away and plenty of resturaunts, bars, and shave ice shops within walking distance. Oh yes, of course T-Shirt Shops too! When the time came for my family to leave, nobody wanted too. That's the mark of a good time had by all. And of course we were invited by Gary to come back and visit again. We will, soon
