Lovely hotel, beautiful neighbourhood!

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: comfort, professionalism, relaxing atmosphere, cleanliness
Cons: it would be nice to have a little coffee maker in the room!
Location: less than 10 mins walk to the main shopping/restaurant street, but with plenty of nearer, quieter bars, restaurants & cafes.
Great hotel within easy walking distance to the shopping & toursit area of downtown, but without being in the hectic thick of it. We parked our car in the secure lot and walked the beautiful streets and squares of downtown Savannah. Tucked away by quiet streets, but with restaurants and bars nearby! It met my expectations fully, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Location: Close to trolley stop.
Very nice hotel. Rooms comfortable. Everything updated. Would have liked an outdoor pool. Just a little bit far from the downtown area.

Nice Hotel a Little Off the Beaten Path

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Cons: New carpets and paint are badly needed. The internet was sporadic and sometimes unavailable.
Nice hotel with convenient parking at $12 a day. Walking distance to the Historic District (about 6 blocks). Not much nearby though. Room was clean and in good condition but hallways need new carpet and paint. Needs a refresh, but the price was right and the location good for those who don't mind walking a few blocks.

Excellent hotel in historic center, friendly staff

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: It was quiet, comfortable, clean, the rooms spacious and well appointed, the staff friendly, the parking easy and everyone very hospitable.
Cons: I noted my quibbles above.
Location: Everything accessible within walking distance even for a middle age woman with a difficult hip. Major roads also accesible.
Everything was comfortable, breakfast could have been served in a more elegant manner but the food was good. Only problem with room was that the elevator made a horrible noise coming up and we could hear it during peak hours.

Mid-range historic hotel

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Hotel room had great amenities (Aveda!). Would make a nice walk to the historic area in better weather. Parking expensive and difficult. Breakfast a la carte. Overall it was a fine hotel and a good value.

Terrible guest service, area is unsavory at night

Posted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: The hotel was clean
Cons: The front desk service was simply awful.
The check-in process was horrible. The "night manager" was rude and just instructed me to "ask a friend" when I inquired about parking facilities. He just threw my key at me and proceeded to ignore all other questions. Someone else in my party asked about a restaurant recommendation and was told to "walk towards the river and ask somebody there". Although we selected the hotel for its location, we were very concerned when walking back to the hotel after dinner (9:30 pm). Our children have to witness a drug dealer trying to sell his wares in the middle of the street. It was a very stressful experience.
