Terrible unbareable smell

The smell of the room is so bad. This is my third and final time staying at this hotel because it seems like the smell gets worse every time. I woke out of my sleep and checked out at 5am because I could not take the smell blowing out of the AC. The place is very quiet, old but comfortable. But I will not return until they replace their AC system or get rid of the smell.

Nice hotel

Nice and quiet location with bar, eateries close by and also outlets. Room spacious and comfy, bathroom a little tired and dated but ok. Breakfast ok but not huge choice. Good for the price

Great location and a bar on the property

I was most impressed by the cleaning ladies. We put a privacy sign on the door and they NEVER disturbed us, yet still serviced us by leaving our towels outside of our room door in a plastic bag. I love that. It's not a fancy place but it's clean, inexpensive and in a great location. I'll be back definitely.

Had to ask for towels, had no chairs for outside , pool was closed and room was out dated and kids running up and down the outside hallway and a lady in phone outside our room talking loud would not stay there again

Worth the price

The room had a bit of the old smoke smell but not enough to matter to us. The location was perfect- easy to get into town and off to the islands. Looks like the place has been renovated and for the most part things were just fine, it met our expectations for the price. Ask for a room away from the Hercules bar (they sell food as well). The music loud until 2:00 am on two of the four nights we stayed. The Hercules was curious. We ordered a pizza in the late afternoon and walked over to pick it up. Opened the door to strong cigarette smells, the bartenders were smoking inside. Been awhile since we had been to a place with indoor cigarette smoke so heavy. Breakfast was no great shakes, but certainly enough for us to get something quick in the morning before heading out. Again, met expectations for the price.

Pros: The price.
Cons: Lobby could be unlocked. Electric in breakfast area needs work. All new staff.
At 11pm I had to stand outside in the rain in a line of 10 people. When my turn I had to try to speak to him through a waste high hole in the window that he would walk to across the lobby when not sitting at the dry front desk. The lady doing the continental breakfast was very rude at snappy at guest. The breaker kept flipping every time a guest would use microwave or toaster.

Not what I expected

Room was clean but very dingy. You have to access it from the outside and it was quite dark. I did not feel safe. I would not stay here again. It was not up to my expectations for a DAys Inn. This was not a hotel not a motel.

Good Rest Close to Savannah

Short visit to Savannah. Third time at this location with convenient (10 min) access to old Savannah and easy on/off I95 on a side road east of the airport. Ahalf-day break taking in the now familiar sites followed by a nice dinner and resful nights sleep before continuing on our trip.
