Searching for new home in tennesseePosted Dec 13, 2013
Pros: What's not to like. Definately all rooms updated
Cons: Not so darn cold when it's not supposed to be
Location: Convenient location to restaurants and the dam/tennessee river for sure
My realtor in Savannah recommended two locations each in a different town. I was going to book the other, less cost, but they didn't respond in time to a web request. And my gosh, I'm glad they didn't. I did drive by the other property and it didn't look good from the exterior, so you could almost imagine the rooms. Anyway, on to Days Inn, and some aren't the best around either. BUT NOT IN SAVANNAH TN; OH NO!! Friendly mgr, Jay and clerk Mitsi. Housekeeping was great. Keep in mind to tip the maids, you'll notice the difference. So, my stay went from 2 days to the entire week i was there. I am moving from San Diego since retiring and looking for house/property. Comfy beds, flat screen with cable chnls i watch at home, good shower head and pressure and the free b'fast (not carb loading) was a bonus. Long story short, if you are staying in the area, not just Savannah, this is the place without fail.

Nice motel! Centrally located!Posted Nov 14, 2013
Location: Shilo Military Park, Pickwick Lake, Hagys Catfish Hotel and Restuarant.....
we had a 2 night stay at this hotel, all of the rooms have recently been renovated so there was fresh paint, new carpet, new shower and curtain, nice 42" flat screen TV, coffee pot, microwave, fridge....all of the amenities that one needs. The located is great, central to town, Shilo, restaurants etc. I would recommend friends to stay here when visiting Savannah TN.

Last minute reservation - pleasant surprise!Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Quiet, well furnished room and well back from the highway.
Location: We visited the Shiloh National Military Park, about 15 miles to the SE, a stunning reminder of the civil war. The Tennessee River Museum in town, too
An unfortunate discovery when preparing to get in bed at another local hotel called for immediate evacuation, but not before I was able to check on line for a possible vacancy locally. There was, so I made the reservation, drove about a mile and voila, there was a clean, nice looking and quiet room! The receptionist was cordial and efficient. Our room had all the modern conveniences and opened onto a grassy courtyard, giving it a very quieting atmosphere. Breakfast was very continental but included the possibility of waffles. The room was, I believe, well worth the moderate expense. I would stay here again if in the area.

Same, same, same. Plain Jane.Posted Oct 15, 2012
Pros: It is where I need a hotel to be. Owner is very nice and helpful.
Cons: The beds and the plain Jane not quite up to "really nice" status.
Location: On the Highway to Pickwick Dam in Savannah, TN. Easy access. Good parking.
I've stayed here three times over the course of 12 yrs. Nothing has changed much during that time. I wish the beds were better quality. If you are not going to be staying in the room all the time, it is fine. I wonder why there are no restaurants nearby. Breakfast is minimal, free or not. I mean I will stay there again but it does not stop me from wishing it were a tad better.

Beds to die for!Posted Sep 14, 2012
Pros: The bed is as awesome as everyone says. It was nice and quiet and the folks running it are real sweet.
Cons: Outside of building is a little dated, but the inside is fine. Pool is outside.
Location: It's next to the Quality Inn. Kroger right up the road and a Wal-mart in town. Also a CVS in town. Great place to stay if visiting Shiloh battlefield
Everyone is right ...the BEDS are out of this world. That is if you like nice cushy pillows and a great mattress. Great breakfast too if you are a breakfast eater. I stay here everytime I go to Shiloh battlefield. Savannah is a nice town with everything you need for an overnight or more trip. I had a King bed/non smoking room and it was so spacious plus a microwave and a 'fridge

Hotel TaxesPosted Aug 8, 2012
Pros: One story only. Pool open.
Cons: Check out suprise on bill total.
Location: Located on main road, easy to find. Next to Quality Inn.
Watch out for the TAXES....5% county, 5% state, 9% hotel.....19% TOTAL The service desk attendant said they had a lot of people call City Hall and complain about how the taxes were. Cheaper rooms will help get people to stay there. Overall it was a great place to stay. Clean and comfy would recommend to others. My husband loved the continental breakfast and he does not normally eat breakfast.

Our Stay at Day's INNPosted Jul 10, 2012
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the TV was great.
Cons: The rate was higher than we expected to pay.
Location: Easy loacation to access.
Very nice motel, the breakfast area could of been bigger. Difficult getting coffee when too many people were in there all at one time. The rate was a little higher than I wanted to pay.
