Only good thing is locationPosted Sep 16, 2015
The noise from traffic is unbearable. So bad, manager offered to have Expedia refund me in full. Paul, the valet parking person was awesome!

Pros: Everything - what's not to like here?
Cons: The parking situation is all valet and at $25, it's not a bargain
Location: Located on the edge of the Historic District, it's a perfect location for staying and exploring
Extremely nice hotel, great rooms, great staff and the location is just perfect for exploring Savannah

Nice hotel Great locationPosted Sep 5, 2015
Overall it was good. Not a fan of the valet only parking an extra $25 a night. No free breakfast its an additional $16 a day. Just alot of hidden fees I felt should be included in the room price. I understand now why it was the cheapest in the historic district.

Exceptional service!Posted Sep 2, 2015
I booked this hotel based on it's location to downtown Savannah. Everything from the decor, to the staff and the hotel's location exceeded my expectations. In addition to the chilled bottles of water available to you for walking around downtown, the free aperitif, whether it be a cocktail, a glass of wine or beer from the bar area each day to the very friendly and knowledgeable staff, I have to say, hands down, the most important aspect of my stay came from the Housekeeping Staff. I have an allergy and the head of housekeeping went above and beyond to accommodate my needs right down to the smallest of details. This is huge in my book! They even checked up on me a few times throughout my stay. If I were to bring a negative to light it would be these 2 things: First, when booking your room, be sure to request a room away from Bay Street. While our room was perfect, the very loud truck noise first thing in the morning is not enjoyable at all. They offer a white noise machine and ear plugs in the room, but it's not enough to drown out the noise, especially if you are a light sleeper. Keep in mind the Port of Savannah is close to the hotel and to Bay Street. Second, would be the very costly valet parking. The cost is $25 per day and while the valet's are wonderful, I feel it is quite high. However, I have to say this hotel was amazing and I would stay there again!

On Bay St.; Close to River StreetPosted Sep 2, 2015
Pros: Its location, cleanliness, service and most of all the hot tub.
Cons: The price of the parking.
This luxurious hotel is within a block of River Street and the Market City. River Street is out the front door and Market City is out the back. Lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, music, tours, all around. The staff is very helpful and attentive. You receive one of their famous cookies, warm and gooey and ready to eat upon arrival, but all you have to do is ask for another one at the front desk at any time. We could see the large ships sail by on the river from our window. The street noise is a little loud, but the hotel provides sounds machines and earplugs to help drown out the traffic.

Great location!Posted Sep 1, 2015
I stayed with some friends for a girls' weekend recently. The hotel is newly redone and clean. The staff was wonderful. We received a warm cookie upon arrival and when we left. The bartender, Tim, would have been helpful had we found him before our last day - our fault! He did make us great drinks and fun conversation before our flight back to NY. The only complaint was the traffic on Bay St can get noisy. There is a noise machine in the room which helped. Next time I will request a room on a different side. The location is great - very close to city market, river st and trolley stops for a few local trolley tours.

Staff was wonderful with suggestions to go eat and drink. Room was updated and clean. Across the park from city market. Couldn't have picked a better spot
