Not what I expected

Posted Jun 29, 2017
The location is great, beautiful Forsyth Park across the street. it's easy to get to downtown and the beach. Sitting on the porch to have breakfast or just to lull is truly a reminder of the south and is enjoyable. The Inn needs repair, room 10 and 11 in basement, which they call ground floor. Room smelled like mildewand carpet on stairway leading to rooms 10 and 11 was filthy. It appeared the roof had leaked because I could see water marks in ceiling. They should include in the amenities a bath mat, hair dryer, toothpaste (guests may forget to bring). The breakfast was basic (egg, sausage, toast, tea) I'm a vegetarian and was not offered any choices. Despite my dissatisfactiion, the staff was friendly. This place would be a last resort, if there were no rooms available at preferred bed and breakfast.

Quiet &close to Bull Street and Forsyth Park

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: See above - mostly the quiet - away from the hustle and bustle of River Street.
Cons: A little sprucing up in the "corners".
Location: In the midst of beautiful Savannah squares, gardens, etc. Historic sites everywhere and walkable to River Street.
Arrived at 6 pm,room not ready.. was offered complimentary champagne. I do not drink. Lovely owner and desk folks, vey helpful and accomodating.

Great location, Forsyth Park.

Great location, within walking distance of most attractions in the historic district. Our room in the basement needed some cosmetic work but overall nice. Food and staff were great. I loved the effort to keep the historic feel of the building without compromising comfort. Will stay here again next time.

Be careful what room your getting

Posted Apr 5, 2017
Room was in the basement of house. Steps were very dirty going down to basement. An extreme amount of light was coming in around room door from hallway. It lit up the room and was very hard to sleep. We only stayed one night. Steven Williams house much nicer.

Beautiful bed and breakfast in Savannah. Close to downtown. Must go to the Olde Pink House for dinner!

Wonderful Location

We only stayed for 1 night. The service was excellent. The area were we stayed downstairs was a bit noisy. We could here people walking around in the floor above ours and that was quite annoying. Request top floors if you can

Great place to stay.

Only a 25 minute walk to River Street. Close to all the squares. What a great way to start the day looking at Forsyth Park each morning!

good location with convenient parking.

Posted Mar 17, 2017
Pros: Breakfast was terrific and the property overall very pleasant. The evening wine hour and early-night coffee with dessert very nice. Rooms good.
Cons: We were in a room with no sitting area though there was room for a settee in space that it could have been placed. Our bathroom somewhat mis-matched.
Location: Forsyth Park and dining nearby. Totally walkable.
Efficient check-in process. Most staff knowledgeable and pleasant.

Beautiful Spot right on the Corner!

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Pros: Its charm and hospitality, the yummy breakfast before check out... what a treat!
Cons: It does need a fresh coat of paint but I wouldn't even change that. It makes the inn feel vintage and it was so cozy.
Location: 25 minutes away from the river. Next time we will do the trolley, but we were only there for one day so we decided to explore ourselves.
Upon checking in, parking was super simple. They had parking right off the avenue. The drive is beautiful and right next to the Forsyth Park. Lots to see and I would much rather walk to the City Market then take a trolley. The natural beauty of it all is so worth it. The room was just right. We had a smaller room, Room 8. The color of the room was really inviting and the flow took you back in time. The windows are from the floor to the ceiling and one of them opened up to our surprise.. to our own huge veranda, which we had no idea we got! Even better was the view of the small secret garden they had below.. beautiful!
