Walking distance to the fun places

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Pros: Location, staff and room were all what we were hoping for
Location: Close to the riverfront, restaurants and things to do
Checked in and were very happy with the room as it had more space than we'd expected and was very comfortable. We were able to walk to the restaurant we wanted to have dinner at and then walked back to the hotel to change and go out for the evening. We were able to walk to the riverfront where the places were that we wanted to see and visit.

great hotel in Savannah's Historic District

Posted Jan 23, 2016
Pros: Conveniently located, amenities were good, rooms were comfortable - not overly spacious.
Loved walking to City Market and surrounding area. Historic Savannah is best seen from the sidewalk.

Great Location Very Friendly Staff

Posted Jan 21, 2016
I have worked for Hilton Worldwide previously so I have come to know what to expect from the brands involved. This was a great Hampton Inn! Room was spotless, check in was smooth (previous front office manager for Hilton). Everyone I encountered was friendly and had a smile. Valet was prompt and polite. Breakfast was great as the Hampton inns are known for their Complimentary Hot Breakfast. Over all a wonderful experience even though it was a short over night visit.

Beautiful and Convenient Location

Posted Jan 21, 2016
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Needs updating and deep cleaning
Location: We went this time especially to see the Monet exhibition at the Jepson museums and artwork/architecture at the Telfair.
The location in Savannah GA was beautiful and the staff was accommodating and very friendly, however, the room, bathroom, and cleanliness was disappointing. We have usually found Hampton Inn to be a good, basic, updated and clean facility. This Hampton Inn needs some updating and deep cleaning. The bed linens were ok, (found a hair on the coverlet) but the carpet and bathroom needed a deep cleaning. I don't consider this a good deal for what we paid -about $393 for two nights. The free breakfast itself was very nice (had to make your own waffles -not a real big deal) but the layout was awkward and not set up for the 30-40 people who descended on the small breakfast area at 9:00AM. The concierge was helpful and very nice. On the second morning we went out for breakfast.

Very convenient location.

Pros: See above
Cons: Parking can be a bit difficult
Location: Old town and historic Savannah were very close and in walking distance.
Very close to highway access. Very convenient to tour bus companies. Hotel staff was superb, breakfast was better than most. Room was spacious and very clean.

family trip at New Years

Posted Jan 9, 2016
We are a family of 5. We booked a room that I thought was a suite, but discovered it was a double queen room with no sofa bed and no room for a pullout. the staff was very accommodating and changed around reservations to allow us to get the last suite in the hotel.

Nice hotel close to the Historic District

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: The location, beds were cozy, breakfast was great and the staff was really helpful.
Cons: I think you definitely get what you pay for so I wouldn't change a thing!
Location: SO much is within walking distance... river view, shopping, restaurants, museums... GREAT location!
The staff was really pleasant and super helpful. The breakfast was really good - especially for complimentary! The rooms are tight but comfortable; beds really comfy! The views leave something to be desired for sure but the hotel was very close to everything we wanted to see and we were able to walk most places which was nice and convenient. The work out room was tight but sufficient and the pool area small, but not what we were there for. Overall, we had a great experience.

Noisy, needs updating. Parking chaos.

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: We survived it. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Almost everything.
Location: Riverfront is a lot of fun.
The valet situation is chaotic, disorganized and extremely confusing upon arrival. Eventually it worked out fine, but, there is a need for more signage, clear direction on where to pull in/ check in, and every hotel I've ever been to with mandatory or almost mandatory valet parking, I was greeted upon arrival. Not here! Valets standing around looking confused, customers looking more confused, other customers driving the wrong way, no where for people to turnaround... Horrible. Once inside, the bathroom had damaged tile, Ac fan would not go on high setting (wanted to drown out the horrible street noise). Breakfast was good, and over all things were clean. Hotel is on the very edge of the historic district, walking to where you really want to be (riverfront etc...) can involve a few sketchy blocks...

Loved the hotel !

Posted Dec 19, 2015
Really was everything I was hoping for with no disappointments. Savannah historical area is about 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile and being downtown was wonderful. Go across the street and get a parking pass for $7 day and you can park anywhere in any available spot. Spend some time for happy hour on the roof at the pool, nice view of the waterfront. Market is about 1/4 mile away and several bars and restaurants are also a short distance. Not the Four Seasons but half the price. We stayed on top floor in back so was quiet.
