First room smelled so bad of old smoke that you couldn’t breathe. They changed us to a better room but someone was running up and down the hallway for hours. Pool was out of order also. That’s why we were staying there was for the pool.

Check in process was quick. However, the room was SWELTERING. The A.C. unit did not work & there was "nothing" the employee could do. Safety was compromised bc I was forced to open the window to get air circulating. I will not be returning!

The staff in the office was rude and disrespectful towards my wife, nephew and I. The hotel we were staying at caught fire and we had to find another hotel and it was crazy night. Did not appreciate the staff and their attitude.

I had to change rooms 3x.all 3 rooms were filthy. The sofa had stains, the ac didn't work, the pillows and towels were dirty. The floors were sandy and hair throughout. I need to be refunded. The 3rd shift attendant walked the rooms with me and agreed.

I have never written a bad review, but this place was very dirty. the staff just aloof. Went down at 0640 am on Sunday and the front desk staff was conversing with someone possibly another staff member didn't acknowledge me I was standing there I the lobby looking for coffee and finally I asked going back to the elevator and the lady stated the girl was trying it's not ready yet. Understand breakfast was to be ready at 0700 but coffee should be available any time after 5 am. Then my husband and I came down for breakfast and it comprised of Jimmy Dean sandwiches etc.... very disappointing. Coming out of elevator on 2nd floor the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a year.

This was absolutely the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The floors in the lobby common areas and elevator looked like no one mops or vacuums. The same was true for the room we stayed in. Floors were filthy…tub was filthy…sink was very slow to drain. Volume on TV did not work. Ironing board was broken. Iron had crusty material on it. Gel filth on the wall and in bureau drawer. Street noise and people outside our window made sleeping difficult. Reported to housekeeping and front desk and NOTHING was remedied. The staff seemed to barely understand English!! 2 nights of pure hell!! Do not use this hotel!! Also the continental breakfast was subpar also

Had to wait ten minutes to check in there was no one at the desk when I arrived. The room had holes in the walls including one in the shower ceiling. Random substances (looked like blood) smeared on the walls….. was asked halfway through our stay if they could go in to do maintenance while I was gone for the day but when I returned the room was the same. Also there was no housekeeping that came through at all for our entire stay even though I did see housekeeping the first morning I was there cleaning other rooms.

This is a property I’ve been frequenting for over 25yrs whenever I visit Savannah so Im very familiar w/it. It recently changed owners (indian owned) & they’ve done absolutely nothing to update it. It’s not dirty but it definitely needs a SERIOUS UPGRADE!!!! The room was spacious & clean but literally has the same look & furniture from the late 90’s when I first ever stayed here The area is nice & has great shopping & food options. I have no complaints but this property is beyond outdated & needs to be upgraded immediately!!!

This hotel misrepresents itself. The online pictures look nothing like the actual hotel. The building is 1970's looking old. The windows were dirty. There was no landscaping. The carpet, floors and furniture/beds were super old and run down. We had 6 rooms, all smelled of pet urine. The shower was hard to turn on. We needed to spray several times and personally sanitized the rooms to be able to stay in the rooms. The ceiling had water damage. The bathroom floor had water damage. The keys to the rooms were difficult to maneuver. The street was always loud, sounded like cars were racing. We always heard continuous ambulances/fire trucks. A large group of young people congregated in the parking lot. They were being loud. We heard people talking outside most of the night. No one asked them to leave. We did not feel safe here. I wholeheartedly would not recommend anyone to stay here. We had no choice but to stay here because I was told by Expedia that their policy was to not transfer our reservation (even though this hotel misrepresented itself with phone photographs online. We could not afford to go to a better hotel on such a short notice then loose the money we spent to stay here. This was not a good experience. I will say I have stayed at LaQuinta before (in Atlanta Ga). That hotel was A1. Not sure why this hotel isn't being taken care of.

Stayed here many times while daughter near it
The suite was huge and relaxing. There were a couple of cleaning things that were misses but overall it was very enjoyable. My wife and I frequented Savannah a lot while my daughter lived there. We tried several other hotels over the course of the year but this is where we preferred by far and stayed at 90% of the time. Staff was always nice as was the breakfast. Its affordable and gives you a lot for your money. Now that the daughter has moved back to Atlanta we will miss our visits. La Quinta Savannah Southside was always very enjoyable and inviting. Much appreciated.
