A group of us had rented a beautiful house across the park from this hotel. Two of us were staying over one more night. I am so happy we did and booked this wonderful hotel. The staff was gracious and welcoming we had dinner at the restaurant and it was amazing. Sea bass get it if on the menu. The rooms are elegant and comfortable. Go there when in Savannah if only for dinner or drinks at the bar enjoyable and delicious

Pros: Décor and amenities were outstanding
Cons: For us and not for everyone.... bed mattress
Location: very good
Everything was beyond positive about the hotel. The only thing slightly off for us was the beds mattress was a little soft for both of us and we ended up and left with back stiffness that lasted for several days.

Pros: Distinctive decor, park side setting away from the tourist hub, and overall personality.
Location: As you walk from the hotel toward the river area, you'll make discoveries on every block and at each historic square.
We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at The Mansion. The woman at the lobby desk in the evening was particularly charming and helpful. Don't forget to have a drink or dinner at the hotel's restaurant. That historical building and the decor is quite striking. Also, the shuttle bus between The Mansion and the Bohemian Hotel is a welcome option when you're not interested in walking.

This is my third stay at the Mansion on Forsyth and it will not be my last. I so love this hotel. From the valet attendants to the front desk staff and everyone in between, this hotel is welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is so beautiful and the artwork everywhere is amazing. I can't wait to plan my next trip.

Not much to fault really. Beautiful, spacious, well appointed rooms. Lovely linen, comfortable bed. A real treat for a kiwi couple on a road trip

Had a great 1 night stay here before we drove farther up the coast. The bath and shower were really relaxing, and our room was nice and spacious. The only complaint I had was that all of the pillows smelled really horrible. Not sure what was going on there. Also there weren't enough towels. Dispite all that, I would come here again. The people working here are SO FRIENDLY and nice, and you can't beat the location.

Very nice, eclectic hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, service was very poor. We arrived at 4:30 and our room wasn't available. When it was available at 5:30, we were told the room we booked wasn't available. Instead of two beds, we had one and a fold out. The fold out had no linens and it took three calls and almost 90 minutes to get linens; another 30 to get a blanket. Ordered room service and the order showed up missing meals. For the price point, it was a disappointing experience.

For a smaller hotel, it has an impressive lobby area. The art work is also quite dramatically displayed. However, once assigned a room, we were not so impressed. On first glimpse, it looked very stylish but one look out the window and disappointment set in. Nothing turns me off a hotel more then a poor view or bad maintenance. We were directly overseeing all the air-conditioning equipment. The view was so offensive, we closed the drapes. The bathroom looks fancy but has much wasted space. Who needs a window into the bathroom? However, it was much more exciting than looking outside. I also found the glass door to the toilet rather odd. Putting on my makeup was a real challenge because the lighting was so poor. I will give the bedding a 9. It was very comfortable and the TV was well situated. I was also disappointed with the actual location of the hotel. On foot, it is good walk to the center of Savannah. I take responsibility for the decision since I did not google the hotel's location prior to booking. The reception staff was less then welcoming. I also requested a wake-up call at 10 in the morning which apparently did not even get into their system. I will say that the supervisor that was working with the new hire was very professional and lovely. She comped my valet parking for the inconvenience which I really appreciated. She gets high marks! I would also say that the valet were quite personable and helpful.
