Beautiful hotel, wonderful stayPosted Sep 1, 2015
We had a wonderful stay at the Planters Inn. The staff was very courteous, and the room was immaculate. Beautiful hotel located right on a square in downtown Savannah. Walking distance to many attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Great Gem of a Place!Posted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: Comfortable, homey, great location
Cons: Just wish they had an ice machine accessible to the guests instead of having to ask for it.
Location: GREAT location! Easy walking distance to the City Market, Riverfront, and Broughton Street. (Leopold's Ice Cream!)
Very nice, very clean hotel. Loved the old character it had. Our room was very "homey" and the beds were ULTRA comfortable!!! Wish I could have taken it home with me! The staff was very polite and helpful. The continental breakfast was more than sufficient. Would definitely stay again!

Charming hotel, excellent locationPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect, right on a charming square in the historic area.
Location: The inn was only two blocks away from two historic homes, and within walking distance to the riverfront area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Planters Inn. The late afternoon wine and cheese social provided an opportunity to talk to other guests and get tips from the concierge about places to dine. We had an SUV with a box on top, and found the parking provided by the hotel and a nearby public garage couldn't accommodate this height. However, a block away was a municipal parking office where we were able to purchase a parking pass ($14 for two days) that let us park in metered spaces for unlimited time (if the time restriction was over 1 hour). We had no problem finding street parking around the corner from the hotel and left the car there as we walked everywhere throughout our entire stay.

Great location in the historic areaPosted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: The location and the room was very nice and spacious. We had 4 people in our room with 2 queen beds and never felt crowded
Cons: The breakfast. If the hotel says that they have breakfast from 6-10 then all the items should be available until 10 not until "they run out".
Location: The hotel is located right next to the Olde Pink House and you can pretty much walk to any area of interest from here.
Our room was very nice and comfortable. Very clean and the staff was very quick to respond with any issues (we needed ice and our TV needed reset, they were there within in a few minutes) Our biggest issue was the breakfast. We got to the breakfast area around 9 and they had run out of certain items and the staff was not willing to put any extra out (or unable). The staff said that they only cook so much (based on amount of guests they have) and once it's gone, it's gone. This hotel is pricey, so I would think that they would be able to offer all items until 10.

In desperate need of a remodelPosted Aug 13, 2015
The hotel needs a complete remodel. I felt like I was staying at a overpriced Motel. The bathroom was so small, with no space to get ready. There were no lights in the room but 2 lamps. We were right across from the elevators and heard every time someone used it. Walls were dirty and scuffed up. This place should not call themselves a Bed& breakfast. The only up side, was it was close to the waterfront.

Pros: Complimentary wine & cheese and warm baked cookies in the lobby. Also, updated and large bathroom in the room and free wifi.
Cons: Complimentary breakfast was ok and could be improved. I have had better at "budget" hotels.
Location: Walking distance to shopping, River Street, Leopold's, etc. Location is great!
Lovely hotel perfectly located in historic Savannah. Good service, very nice rooms and valet parking.

Nice hotel in great location in Savannah HistoricPosted Aug 6, 2015
Pros: Beautifully restored building.
Cons: Although breakfast was free it was the same food every day the entire week we were there. Might be nice to change it up a bit every day or every other
Location: Close proximity to river and historic sights. All within easy walking distance.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. One of two elevators worked only sporadically so wait times for elevators were long at times.
