Nice place to stay but needs a little TLC. Paint peeling on bathroom walls. Bedspreads not heavy enough. Good continental breakfast.

ComplaintPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: location, landscape. It looked really clean from the outside
Cons: maids and service desk to do a better job
we arrived at Quality Inn located on 125 Bourne Ave, Pooler, GA 31322 around 10:00 p.m. There wasn't anyone at the service desk. We had call out for help. He wasn't very friendly. When I went into the bathroom to shower I realized there was only 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel and 2 washcloths. The bathtub and toilet and sink were not clean at all. The tub was very slippery. I called the service desk more than once for more towels with no answer. So we had to go downstairs for more towels. The guy still wasn't friendly at all.. Before checking out next morning we mentioned this to the attendants that were there and they apologized. Great hotel but very disappointed. Thank you. Margherita Vincent

Great Place to StayPosted Jul 31, 2015 on Hotels
We stopped only for one night, and we went to the beach, so we didn't try the pool. The room was great, there were some minor details with the bathroom fixtures, and the door of the room was hard to lock. The breakfast was amazing.

Good room for the nightPosted Jul 28, 2015 on Hotels
The room was completely adequate for the one night stay. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast comparable to other hotels and no offending odors. The only complaint I would have is that the towel over the edge of the tub was wet and the tub seemed to still have cleaner in it.

Bed was too firm. And there was a dog barking across the hall all morning causin us not to be able to sleep. Toilet and tub both had ring stains.

Really needs work.Posted Jul 15, 2015 on Hotels
Upon arrival I was greeted by a sign telling me the desk clerk had been called away and would return shortly. No problem, it was around 10 pm. I noticed a housekeeping key-card on a lanyard sitting on the desk with the housekeeping clipboard. This concerned me. 5 minutes later when the clerk returned, I asked him if they were in the habit of leaving these keys around. He shot an “Oh crud" look and quickly explained that this card hadn’t been activated… OK, lesson learned for him I hope. The lobby smelled of some weird mixture of BO and cleaner. I had noticed that my Hotels.com reservation was for a smoking room that I had not asked for. The clerk told me it was a default for many travel sites to do this for a cheaper rate. I had not run into this before, probably because most hotels I stay in now are all non-smoking. He was nice enough to switch us to a non-smoker. The room we DID get was in bad need of a facelift and more. There were patches all over the walls, door to bathroom would not shut. I mean it would NOT shut at all. The shower curtain rod was hung by some monkey and wobbled like it was about to come down at any minute. The walls and doors were filthy and the carpet was gross and sticky. The A/C worked OK. The room smelled like someone passed gas. It was really gross. I realize this is a Quality Inn, but this was more like a Semi-Quality Inn. Would NOT recommend until the rooms are re-done.

Good for a Short StayPosted Jul 14, 2015 on Hotels
Good hotel for a night or two. Room seemed small. Room was clean, but older. Lobby had bad smell. halls and room smelled fine. Hot Breakfast was good. We would stay again for a couple nights, but not a full week.

Good EnoughPosted Jun 21, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel was located right off of I95 which is what we needed for a break in our road trip. It was adequate for that. The room was clean, but not new, so it didn't wow me with freshness, and it was small. Double beds (not queens,) but I knew that when I booked the room. The bed was topped with white sheets over the comforter which I MUCH prefer to standard bedspreads (which kind of gross me out.) It had an extra large flat screen tv. The main drawback was that the wifi didn't work well in the room. We were located in the rear of the hotel, above the pool, so it might work better in other locations. One of the best things to me was that I didn't feel like pets had previously been in the room. I leave my animals at home, and I do not want to be in a "pet-free" room that isn't actually pet-free. I think they allow pets only on certain floors. The front desk clerk and the breakfast attendant were superior.

Room to improvePosted Jun 12, 2015 on Hotels
The tiny bathroom needed to be sanitized. Location near I-95 is a plus. Location next door to Cracker Barrel was convenient. Breakfast choices were complete. We were able to take a peek at Savannah at a fraction of the rates there.
