Great option with kids

Posted Dec 2, 2016
The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The valet price was inexpensive compared to others in the area. Having breakfast each morning was very convenient. The pipes in our room were fairly noisy at times, but the rest of the room met or exceeded all of our expectations. We were told the pool was heated, but the water was too cold for a swim while we're there. The location is close enough to everything in the city without being right on all of the busiest streets.

Nice hotel near Savanah College of Art and Design

Posted Nov 15, 2016
Pros: Clean hotel with new appearance. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The valet transported our bags from the car to our room and back.
Cons: I felt valet parking should have been free, but the $10 daily fee was worth the lack of hassle. Breakfast was just average.
Location: The location was kind of seedy and we didn't pursue things to do.

Was a pleasant surprise!

Posted Nov 2, 2016
Pros: The location was very convenient to the historic district and the room was very nice and spacious.
Cons: The breakfast left much to be desired and the fire pit was broken. The self-parking is only what you can find on the street.
Location: Very close to the historic district but not quite walking distance unless you like taking long walks!
My husband and I really enjoyed this hotel, the room was very comfortable and spacious. We actually loved it. The hotel was not quite walking distance to the historic district but far enough away that we didn't have to worry about outside noise all night. The breakfast was not very plentiful and we did notice that no one in the back was wearing hair nets. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. We went in the off season so parking wasn't bad but there is very limited self parking, its whatever you can find on the street.

Great for walking, working and resting!

Posted Oct 4, 2016
Pros: The coffee was a bit bitter. Perhaps, serving different coffee or more coffee flavors that are not bitter.
Cons: I thought the hotel was really very nice. I thought the computer work area could have been more isolated, but it was an appropriate area ...
Location: Historic District convenient location to the beach shuttle, other shuttles, tours, etc. Info Center. Yoga. Walk to squares, Forsyth Park, Cobblestone
I was in Savannah for a conference at the Georgia Coastal Conference Center. This hotel was conveniently located from the conference center so I was able to walk to and fro. One morning I had to present very early in the morning. I was able to return to my hotel to take a nap and then return to the conference center. My suite had two areas: one for study/kitchenette/sitting area and the other the bedroom/bathroom. It was very convenient to have these two sections. In the past, I have never had that option. I found it made my stay more pleasant because it was easier to do my work. I had a tv in each room which was very convenient too. I like the system for privacy on the front door. I could place a magnate requesting the cleaning staff to bypass my room. that worked out well. Breakfast was adequate. I had juice, water, coffee, etc., and raisin bran cereal. One morning I had oatmeal which was good. I am not a big breakfast eater but I do have to eat something in the morning. I took an English muffin for a snack later in the day. I have to drink a lot of fluids in the morning so I was glad there was a variety of juice, water, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. The arrangement was very nicely presented; it also facilitated self-service which was very pleasing. The staff was very professional, welcoming, cordial, and cheerful. They were willing to help and that was wonderful. Great Savannah hospitality! I discovered the cottages for next time! :)

Nice hotel.

Posted May 5, 2016
Pros: Affordability and the staff.
This hotel appears to be at the edge of the "downtown" area. However, it is within walking distance of most if not all of the neighborhoods and attractions that you may wish to see in Savannah. Extremely friendly staff! I especially appreciated the friendliness of the kitchen staff. They were always very upbeat and cheerful and willing to carry a conversation with all that they came in contact with. The same goes for the reception staff and the valet. Very, very professional. The hotel is very clean and affordable. My wife and I were here to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed. The room was very spacious and clean. almost too much room for two people. The room would be large enough to accommodate our family should they wish to return with us on our next trip to the city. The kitchen area was adequately sized. The bathroom was nice. A little on the small side for more than two people. If and when we return to Savannah, I would stay in this hotel again.

Within walking distance to sights

Posted May 2, 2016
Our baby's first road trip. We packed so many things. Jameal, the valet, was very nice and understanding and offered to help bring all our stuff to the room and park our car closer in case we needed something else out of it. Ziphora at check-in made it so fast and smooth. We were in our room in no time! The room was very clean and put together nicely. Loved the full kitchen and dishwasher. Very helpful. The location was great! You could walk to the City Market, River Street Walk, Jones Street, Juliet Gordon Lowe's home and the majority of squares etc. Right next door is a famous battle sight and the Railroad Museum. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and made sure things were stocked. There were plenty of items from the breakfast bar to choose from (hot and cold). We enjoyed out stay very much. If all Residence Inn's were as enjoyable as this one I'm definitely looking forward to staying at more
