NIce Hotel but do not book thruogh Hotel.com
Posted Nov 27, 2016 on Hotels
We booked a 1 bedroom suite for our Thanksgiving vacation to Savannah. The room that we were given upon check in, was NOT the one we booked. When I spoke to the staff upon checking in about this, they said that the studio room was the one that I booked. My confirmation says it is a 1 bedroom, room. The pictures on the website show a separate bedroom from the living area. I know what a studio room is and would not have booked one. Upon further review of my reservation with Hotels.com, I saw a small, tiny asterisk. Weird, What is this for??? It says that they cannot guarantee the room preference that you reserve. Really? Than why am I picking a room? This is very deceptive and wrong. This is the first time I have used hotels.com and the last. Be careful using them.

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your recent stay at the Residence Inn Savannah Midtown. I would like to apologize that the room you reserved for your reservation was not honored. I will forward your information about the third party booking for further review. Should you return to the area again feel free to call the hotel directly to book your future reservation.
