This hotel is amazing! I stayed on the 5th floor and had the river view, also it was on my honeymoon. Definitely staying here in Savannah again!

Charming Place in the Middle of night life

Posted Aug 17, 2016
Pros: Comfort, location, history, relaxing
Cons: Room smelled musty due to air conditioning and found a ladies shirt under the bed.
Location: you name it, for a young to middle aged couple, it has the location and all the things to do around from bars to restaurants to shopping to history
Very charming place, historic, comfortable, in the heart of it all. Easy walking distance to many sights, restaurants, bars, and the staff was very nice. The bar manager was pleasant to talk with and she poured nice drinks.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location

Posted Aug 12, 2016
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel.
Location: River boat tours, horse carriage tours, and ghost tours are available within mere steps outside the hotel.
I booked this hotel from online pictures and thought it would probably be nice, but it FAR exceeded my expectations. The building is gorgeous - it's a former cotton exchange building that is 200 years old, and it opens right out onto River Street so you can walk to many restaurants and shops. My room was very spacious and elegant, with a little balcony overlooking the river. The hotel staff was stellar. I called for an iron and ironing board, the only about 3 minutes later got a call back that they were outside my door. The staff does everything they can for your comfort, but without disturbing you. In the evening, someone from housekeeping comes around to see if you need anything else, and they deliver little chocolate/caramel/pecan cookies as a treat. The furniture in the room was comfortable and elegant, and there was always fresh water with lemon in the lobby, along with coffee and tea.

Room with river view

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Pros: Location. Historic flavor. Charming. Unique.
Cons: You can't improve great.
Location: Bring your bike. There is no better way to see this area. Churches. Squares. Mansions. Cemeteries. Museums. Horse drawn carriages that share the road.
Great staff and friendly environment. We brought our bikes and rode through the historic district finding great local cafes and boutiques. We enjoyed the river cruise and all the Savannah history!

Good location

Posted Jul 30, 2016
We stayed in a double bed room. The Staff was excellent but room was very small and beds were not comfortable. I was unaware but this hotel is known for haunting which I did not plan for. So needless to say between the bed of springs and anticipation of visitors the night was long and not restful. However the location is great and hotel common areas are beautiful.
