Comfortable if you like Small moldy motels

the stay here was absolutely horrible! There was a black out in the area and we could not see even out hand in front of us. There was no back up generator so it was miserably hot and the front desk night clerk (an old white man) was rude when I inquired about a refund so we could leave and move up the highway! I will never stay here again. I've stayed at one other Sleep Inn and in comparison, this was like a cheap roach motel. (small bathroom, full size beds, cramp, trash left over from previous stays, and mold) no generator in case of emergency!!

Dingy and drab hotel. Rude greedy manager.

We prepaid for two nights and only ended up staying for one. The hotel was not as great as the pictures. Definitely not worth $90 a night. It was a bit drab and dingy. The front counter staff was pretty nice. It is the manager that we had an issue with. My wife and I came out of town from Atlanta for the weekend for our anniversary but she started having contractions (she's 34 weeks pregnant) so we tried to work out a deal to leave early since it was still so early in the day and only a couple hours past checkout time. We assumed the manager would help us since we were in a bad situation and we were not staying the second night. She did not care at all. They seem pretty greedy and could care less about their guests. The area around the hotel is very sketchy and seems dangerous. We had a man approach us at the gas station across the street and threaten to fight me. They are only charging ridiculous amounts for their rooms at this hotel because they know people come here to visit downtown Savannah and the beaches. It's definitely worth spending the extra money to stay at a bed in breakfast or hotel in downtown Savannah or just pay the money to be closer to the beach. I would not recommend this hotel. Yes they are a business and business is about making money but you also have to care for you paying customers. Obviously sleep inn gateway could care less. The management has no people or communication skills.

Ok stay

The stay was ok. Even though the hotel did some updates, it is still rather old. It could still use a little updating. Also there isn't an elevator so if you are on the second floor, you will have to go up steps. They have luggage carts but they defeat the purpose if your room is on the top floor. Overall, the stay was ok.

Hotel is very overpriced for what you get. This hotel should be about $40 to $50 a night cheaper. Pros... Clean, conveniently located, food places close, and continental breakfast. Cons... Overpriced and the toilet clogged. Apparently there was no maintenance on site and no one able to unclog the toilet. It was over two hours from our first request to unclog the toilet and the time we hurried to check out to get to a working toilet. Staff never told us there was a bathroom in the lobby and kept saying they were working on getting someone there until we checked out and we're finally told there was no maintenance there.

Tante am Emfang leider unhöfflich und der Teppich war dreckig. Der Rest allerdings war echt gut.
