Friendly, helpful, staff, nice themed hotel in a safe area that’s an easy walk to the river and downtown. Plenty of food options and things to look at. Very reasonably priced.You will not be disappointed.

We loved the Thunderbird Inn! Every time we vacation in Savannah, GA we will definitely come back here. Everyone is super nice and the rooms are very very clean, Thank you! The donuts in the morning are really delicious!

We stayed here again while visiting historic Savannah. We like the retro vibe of the hotel, friendliness of the staff, fresh donuts and coffee in the morning and location is within walking distance to most everything. A special shout out to Leslie who was very attentive to our needs prior to arriving and during our stay. Her smile and willingness to deliver extraordinary service is recognized!

The Inn was really cute and convenient to our daughter who was living at the next block. We had one issue with noise and the staff took care of it quickly. The donuts in the morning were delicious.

Thunderbird is really boss. The doughnuts(!) and coffee were really appreciated. Good location near lotsa restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. There was road noise, but not enough to disturb our sleep. We liked it!

I stay at The Thunderbird whenever I visit Savannah. The location is perfect. Everything is always great, but it could use a few renovations. It's also located right on a main roadway, so it gets very noisy in the mornings. I recommend bringing earplugs if you want to sleep in. The donuts they have for breakfast are excellent!

I was disappointed in not being aware of reserving parking. I was told it was on the website, but I only saw that "On-site parking was available for $15/night". When we got there, no parking was available. We were told we had to reserve ahead of time and try to park on the street or look for a garage. This should be in bold on the website to reserve ahead. Also, note no elevator if you stay on the 2nd level. The room smelled clean, and the sheets were, so that's a positive. However, the sink had whiskers in it from the previous tenants. So, I needed to clean the entire sink area on my own. The walls in the whole space and baseboard need painting, and the caulking in the bathroom area needs to be replaced. I also found the road traffic to be loud. Overall, I was disappointed.

The staff was outstanding. Annie went above and beyond to answer our questions. Wren, nite shift was so kind when we asked for a food recommendation near by. He had excellent ideas. The fresh coffee each morning along with exceptional bakery donuts was such a treat . The vibe is fun, clean, adequate accommodations with a retro twist. Close to historical district and River Street. Just loved it.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. Loved the retro vibe and touches. Also loved the music, popcorn, coffee, juice and donuts. Staff was very friendly, particularly Jovena, who greeted us with a warm smile!

Good property if you want a more budget-friendly stay. Pet-friendly with parking, across from transit center, but close enough to walk to attractions or to nearby bus/Trolley stops. Good value for where and what it is. I would suggest they invest in blackout curtains, as the light and sound was my only “complaint” but still very typical for a street-facing motel inn. I usually see these curtains at motels to cover the blinds and I find them helpful. Otherwise very clean and felt very safe. SCAD dorms and buildings all around, as well as Savannah welcome center for Old Town Trolley next door, Savannah info center, coffee shop & museums very close. Staff was super friendly.

I was surprise first when artived that it was a motel, but once i entered the room i loved it. Love the matress and sheets, good cable, tasty decor and room and bathrooms were redone with an impecable taste, roomy and comfy. Friendly staff, little details like providing a tray and nice cups for breakfast, etc. It was a walking distance to most attractions and to the highways since Savannah is not that big. Safe area.

Loved the vibe of the property. A lot of fun to feel like you’re staying in a blast from the past. The property has been updated, but it does have some room for improvement. There’s water stains that are seen through the paint and water damage around the bottom of the bathroom door. It’s also right on the corner of two busy streets so I’d recommend using a noise machine app/ear plugs and bring an eye mask to block some of the outside light that comes in. All in all it was a fun place to stay and we would likely stay again!

Such a cool old timey feel with updated features. Perfect location to head 20min walk to the riverfront or 20min walk to the cathedral. FREE MOON PIES! Very friendly staff. Super happy we crashed here for the night in Savannah.

This was a fun place to stay. The staff is outstanding! Parking is right outside your room. The only thing is that the water pressure is nonexistent. I still would recommend this as a place to stay. Great rates and so close to SCAD.

WONDERFUL Inn. The retro redo was done nicely. Front desk was friendly and very informative. Our room was very clean and the moonpie and RC pop was a nice touch. Our donut and coffee breakfast was very good. If i had one complaint its that our window didnt have a room darkening curtain. I would and have already recommend this WONDERFUL charming Inn.
