9/10 Wonderful! (82 reviews)
First class. This was, by far, the best hotel in Davos. Central, gorgeous infrastructure, great spa and pool, chef deserves a Michelin Star and the staff are all stars. Couldn’t say anything but the best about this place.

Absolutely fabulous hotel and perfect location to enjoy the wonderful scenery - mountain hikes and swimming and activities on the lake. Duty manager so welcoming, helpful and friendly, advising us on walks on our arrival. Friendly restaurant staff and a great buffet breakfast to start the day with a much appreciated vegan selection.
Lovely bakery on-site and covered walkway to the cable car opposite the hotel.
Lovely spa area to relax after hiking, or to watch the rain from.
Comfortable bed, fresh spring water, large balconies. No apparent air con, but nice just to have the window tilted open.
Well served by buses

Frequently asked questions
Do you need to rent a car in Sax, or is public transport enough?
For a Sax vacation package, renting a car is highly recommended for maximum flexibility, especially since Sax is an outdoor and nature destination located outside a city, primarily known for skiing. Many of the area's attractions, such as Chäserugg, which is about 16 miles from central Sax, are spread out and best reached by personal vehicle. While public transport options may exist, a car allows you to easily explore the scenic Swiss landscape and access various ski resorts and hiking trails at your own pace. You can fly into major airports like Zürich (ZRH), Basel (BSL-EuroAirport), Memmingen (FMM-Allgaeu), Innsbruck (INN-Kranebitten), or Friedrichshafen (FDH-Friedrichshafen - Lake Constance) and pick up a rental car there to begin your Sax vacation.
