Very old hotel. If u have a room out to the street, you can hear the tram passing by every 10min

Clean and friendly.

Stayed for 2 nights, reasonable Price. Could do with a wee upgrade of the decor but nothing to moan about. Breakfast was good, rooms clean and comfortable. Local area doesn't have much but tram no 7 takes you straight into the city centre.

Great base for weekend break

Posted Dec 26, 2016
The hotel was a great base for a short break in Leipzig. We were given a warm welcome on arrival, and reception staff were always friendly and helpful. There was a lovely, delicious and ample spread for breakfast. The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. A very short walk from the front door and you're on the tram, which is about 15 minutes to the centre. We would definitely recommend the hotel.

Relaxing, simple retreat

Posted Nov 28, 2016 on Hotels
2 interesting eateries near by: Thai take out or eat in. The woman prepared and served a delicious meal in front of us. Another, "The Jedemann" was across the street from the hotel and offered a simple, cozy dining area. All in all, after a busy day of traveling and seeing the city sights, this was a nice, inexpensive retreat.

Really helpful staff

Pros: Location, helpful staff.
The staff were very accomodating when I was suffering from food poisoning and needed to extend my stay. Good location, very close to a tram stop which gets you to HBF in 20 minutes. Light sleepers may need ear plugs however.

hotel for business travel

Posted May 11, 2016
Pros: From inside, it looked a nice hotel. Reception staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Having some refreshment facility other than at breakfast (machine/ room service). Keeping the bar/lounge open or at least closing time displayed.
Location: Nowhere to eat nearby & nothing to see. Lots of graffiti which was off putting when travelling late at night on your own. 15-20 mins tram from centre
Nice hotel but not situated in the right part of the city. Approx 15 minute tram ride from the centre. Hotel was clean and had what was required. Nice selection for breakfast. Unfortunately no evening meal facility and no where close to go for a meal in a restaurant. Needed to go or stay in the city centre for this. Bar looked inviting but closed early so after a long day of business there was no where to relax in the hotel itself. The only sitting area being in the bar area. Bedroom was basic but large enough. Always miss a cup or tea/coffee or even a drink of water once finished for the day. No room service. Would stay again but only if no room in the city centre and needed to go for business at such a busy time of the year. There was no information about the hotel or the city in the rooms.

Tiny room with in room safe that did not work

Posted May 8, 2016
For the high price paid I expected a working safe and radio. The trams were right outside the window and passed every ten minutes disturbing the ability to sleep.

Dreadful location, hotel had no facilities, no decent restaurants in vicinity, area reminded me that nothing has changed in this part of Leipzig since collapse of Communism
