Good hotel. Convenient location

Posted Oct 7, 2016
We had an excellent welcome from Reception : we were in a hurry to get to a concert and the staff did their very best to speed us through check-in and give us advice on the best route to our venue. What's more the same receptionist made a point of asking us the following day if we had made it to the concert. Full marks! Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean and well appointed (fridge, safe etc). Dinner in the Hotel restaurant was good. Breakfast catered for all needs -and the staff coped really well with a huge inflow of guests. The hotel is within walking distance of the main train station and in the same Square as the Opera and Concert houses and close to other 'attractions'.

Upscale Hotel, close to city centre

Posted May 29, 2016
Pros: location, staff, restaurant
Cons: shuttle from/to airport
This hotel is very centrally located, close to public transportation and walking distance to the city centre shopping district and some nice restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent. Service wonderful. There is not a traditional bar area but a lounge area where drinks are served from the restaurant side. Breakfast was typical European and very good. Room was comfortable, clean and set up well for a business traveler.

Not the usual Radisson Blue standard

Posted Dec 3, 2015
Stayed at a few Radisson Blue and this is the poorest to date. The staff were good (bit abrupt on reception). Room was ok but needed modernising. We had a room on the first floor - one night it rained hard and it dripped loudly on to a metal plate. No sleep. Food and bar were excellent although breakfast got very busy due to large coach groups. We like Radisson Blue hotels but will probably look elsewhere when we return to Leipzig.

Dear Rob, thank you for your feedback! We are very sorry for the circumstances during your stay in our hotel. Unfortunately we know the problem with the rain and the metal plate. We are searching for a solution but its very difficult we did not expect that. In that case we would like tho change the rooms, so that you can get your sleep! Best regards from Leipzig

A very pleasant 10 day stay

Posted Nov 8, 2015
Pros: Modern, up to date facility. Very clean. Excellent staff. Convenient to city center. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Adding a light dinner option to the restaurant would be helpful for guests.
Location: Located very near Leipzig University and the city center was easily within walking distance to see historical sites and excellent shopping.
We spent a very enjoyable 10 day stay at the hotel. The staff members were all pleasant and spoke English quite well. The breakfast buffet was superb with a large variety of foods, the restaurant staff were very welcoming and helpful. The on-site parking was quite convenient. The location of the hotel allowed us to easily explore Leipzig on foot. Our only recommendation is to have the restaurant offer a light dinner menu as an option. When traveling to Leipzig we will stay at this hotel again and will recommend to others.

Lovely Leipzig

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Excellent location Attentive Staff Good food.
Cons: They had a problem with their towel suppliers - needs to be fixed. Restocking of consummables and toileteries in the room was haphazard.
Location: On the main square opposite the Opera House and the Concert Hall and just a short walk from the town centre, museums etc. Trams stop right outside.
Bach Festival was a great success. Leipzig is a lovely destination. Watch out for bicycles!

Great location and wonderfully comfortable

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Ideal location for exploring city center. Comfortable rooms.
Cons: Include breakfast.
Location: City center is right out the front door.
We booked our hotel room late and discovered limited availability due to the Leipzig book fair happening at the same time. We ended up at the Radisson Blu by chance and it was a bit more than we would usually spend but ended up being worth it. The room was very comfortable and shower was especially wonderful. We had a Business Class room, which is likely why we paid the higher cost. The location is perfect - walkable from the train station and S-bahn stops right out front. Staff helped us by lending umbrellas, converters, etc. Only complaint is that for the price, an included breakfast would have been nice. Also, we were charged for a mini-bar water at 4.50 euro that we did not drink.
