Carpet was dirty, waste baskets did not have no garbage bags and hair on the shower wall. Room needs to be thoroughly clean.

Our experience at this property was terrible! Upon checking in to our room there were feces particles inside the toliet bowl, and feces on the outside of the toliet, also there were pubic hairs around the toliet. There was hair inside the tub. There was a stain on the blanket of our bed. And throughout the night leading in to the morning there were constant door slams from other guests in the hotel, that's how thin the walls are at that hotel. The people above our head were very disruptive all throughout the night. And once we were finally able to get some sleep we were awaken at 7 a.m on a Sunday morning by the next room who was connected to our wall. They woke us up because they were having S**. As they were having s** their head board of the bed kept rocking back and forth, each time their headboard hit against the wall our headboard rocked back and forth too. This went on for some time. Imagine laying in the bed and everytime your neighbors bed rocks, yours rocks too literally. And this is because of how thin the walls are at the Double tree in Schaumburg. This was one of the worst stays ever! Please be aware, if you want a clean room with out a show of extra curriculum activities Double Tree hotel in Schaumburg is not the hotel for you! I would never stay at this Hilton location ever again! It was truly a nightmare!

The hotel was clean and nice. When booking on Expedia it said the room slept five people. After checking in, we were informed that none of their rooms slept five. We had five people and only enough room for four to sleep. The hotel made it right and gave us another room at no charge, but Expedia needs to get their information right before booking it as a five person room.

The front desk staff that checked us in was nice, however after that I never saw anyone at the front desk for the remainder of the stay. The room was clean but the bed was so uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep. The hotel advertised having a restaurant but there was no restaurant and just an unstaffed bar. The hotel is close to shops in the area but other than that I would not stay there again.

the room was dirty, the bathroom was not washed at all. But the person at the reception exchanged it for another one, unfortunately it was ok but there were bugs, the bathroom floor was not washed, dirty, the strips were covered with dust for several years. There was a musty smell in the room. The beds are old, the bedding probably hasn't been changed because the sheets and covers are dirty. Unfortunately, this place is ripe for deep cleaning.

A very solid choice
A very solid choice for this area, I will be back. The bed and room were comfortable. Noise from neighbors wasn't too bad. We stayed through Christmas, and the free breakfast on Christmas Day was a very appreciated gift. :) The exercise room was just what I needed (although a 30 pound dumbbell was missing). Lots of parking, although a small annoyance was that the parking lot beside the side door closest to our room was monopolized by a bunch of busses and vans of a charter service. It would have been a better experience if they parked further away from the side door entrance. No real complaints though. This hotel was good value.

Hotel with nice pool.
We stayed in a handicap accessible room, there was no bathroom vanity, just a sink. No place for our shaving kit. Bathroom floor was downhill from showet to toilet, causing a pool there. Dumpsters were noisily emptied at 3.30am, right under our 2nd floor window. Swimming pool was warm, the grandkids loved it! Hotel was pretty quiet except for the dumpster incident.

For a cheap night or two, OK. But property is very run down and mold was found in the bathroom. Easy access to area but still would not recommend with all the other newer hotels around. Asked for towels and never got them. Won’t stay here again.

11/12/23 - property is currently undergoing a remodel. Our first room we were assigned to had not been cleaned (we arrived at 6pm). Second room was just fine. Beds were very comfy; absolutely love that about DoubleTree! Day of checkout, housekeeping began knocking on our door at 0830; checkout isn’t until 12-noon. They continued on to knock 3 more times before we left at 1000.

I didn't get what I originally booked. I booked a corner room with a king sized bed and when I got there the rooms were not ready. So I was given a regular room. I can say the rooms were cleans and the beds were comfy. But I was just disappointed because they didn't even try to accommodate me make up for the inconvenience
