I was supposed to stay at another nearby La Quinta Inn but was informed at 5 PM when I arrived with one sleeping toddler and one sleeping five-month-old that my room still was not ready and there was still another 2 to 3 hours wait before it would be. It was suggested to me to go to another La Quinta where I then had no choice but to pay double what I'd gotten originally on Expedia. It was not much nicer and then my son went to the pool and it was just deplorable.

Dear Mom of two,
I am sorry that you had this experience. I am not sure what difficulties our sister property was having that lead to you being inconvenienced in this way. I am glad that we did have a room available for you and our children to check in to, but I am disappointed that we did not exceed your expectations while you were with us. I hope that in the future you will give us the opportunity to show you that your experience is not typical for either my property or our sister property.
