I initially had high hopes for this La Quinta, but soon realized they left a little to be desired.
The check in process was fantastic. Michelle was welcoming & kind. All went well & I was happy to be there.
After my 1st night, I observed how our room was just superficially clean. There isn't very much attention to detail, as it relates to their housekeeping standards.
Nor did they notice or clean dirt/crusty dog poo stains near the elevator all weekend.
And then came the holiday housekeeping schedule. I understood the alteration to their schedule on Christmas Day; however, I didn't appreciate the housekeeping "hustle" on BOTH Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
On Christmas Eve, we were greeted with a 9:00 am attempt to clean. After my relative explains we didn't plan to leave until 11:00 am, the housekeeper just stood there & blankly stared at us (which had NOTHING to do with a language barrier). She was both disappointed & bothered by our departure time. She clearly wanted to wrap up her work day.
Upon asking the front desk if we'd miss it by waiting til 11 am, she stated "it depends on the floor you're on". Then noted she would ensure we still received service.
Christmas Day arrives and the housekeeping hustle couldn't have been anymore annoying. We awoke to 8:00 am door knocks & verbal "housekeeping!" noise in the halls. We simply put out our sign.
Bottom line, don't stay open for the holidays, if guests won't be allowed to relax during their vacation(s).

It is true that during the holidays we do try to facilitate our team members leaving early to spend time with their families, but not at the inconvenience of our guests. Your experience has been addressed with our housekeeping team and we feel that in the future our guests will have a different holiday experience. We appreciate you choosing to spend your holidays with us and we apologize that your stay was not relaxing.
