Won't stay again

Posted Oct 1, 2017 on Wotif
Room cleanliness was satisfactory, but the shared bathrooms were filthy, dirty toilets, the shower drain was blocked and didn't drain water quick enough when showering and there was water dripping from one of the light fixtures.

Nice, basic hostel set-up. Breakfast was particularly good. Not too noisy, usually (my husband said it was the quietest hostel he'd ever stayed in). A little far out, but not bad once you master the transit system.

Fairly below average, unimpressive hostel

Posted Jul 17, 2017 on Hotels
This was a below average hostel. The rooms were very basic, almost looked government issue. As there is no A/C, it was hot as heck in our room. Opening the window resulted in lots of noise from people outside, making it difficult to sleep. In order to deal with the hot room, I ended up just wetting a t-shirt and draping it over myself to cool myself while trying to sleep. The breakfast was also very basic, nothing impressive (they didn't even have eggs). And to get wifi, you had to go sit in the lobby.

Location ok

Do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It looks like a dorm/prison. Rooms have bunk beds. The water in the shower is timed to 1 min long so you need to constantly press for more. No soap or towels provided. It was full with kids who were Partying all night. No one in my party could sleep. No A.C., internet was not working. It says that self parking is available but it doesn't specify that it is a street parking. I was so afraid that I will bring home bed bugs and live. Expedia should not contract with such facility . It is disservice to the memebers.

Pros: Fairly close to Munich Central Station, and several bus/tram stops located outside.
Location: Public pool area that is 4.90 euros. Includes 2 pools, a steam room, sauna (extra cost), turkish bath, jacuzzi. Görreshof Wirtshaus highly recmomended
We chose this hotel as it was fairly close to the central station and offered free breakfast. Breakfast was nearly nonexistent; hard rolls, aged canned fruit, and a few deli meats. The only plus side was the coffee machine that included several options. The multi person room (there were 3 of us) had 3 outlets further away from the beds. Beds were never made by the cleaning staff, and the garbages were emptied once every 2-3 days.

Unexpensive stay in Munich

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: Satisfactory breakfeast which is icluded in the room price.
Cons: Cleaning must be better especially at the common bathrooms and chancing the bed lining should be done (for the 5 nights no lining changed).
Location: Location is perfect with the public transportation in front of the hostel.
Hostel changed their system last year to start selling the rooms instead of selling the beds. This new concept is better solution for the older people which prefers this hostel.

Short Weekend Break with Friends

Posted Mar 2, 2017 on Hotels
Short weekend break with some friends. As with other reviews , hostel can be quiet noisy. Overall comfortable warm rooms with decent breakfast.
