The staff was very friendly and helpful. The suggestions they gave us really made the stay that much more enjoyable. If for no other reason, I would stay here knowing they really care about their guests. Additionally, the hotel is in a great location, and it's very charming and very very clean.

Not bad but not 4 star.
Location was good but hotel itself was old but historic charm. No air conditioning in the middle of hot summer was a major issue. Super hot. No fans. Not comfortable and horrible to sleep or hang out in there. No proper concierge to give ideas or tips for the area waited forever for check out. The hotel was on a very busy loud road across from the water. With windows open you could hear cars all night.

great location not far from station
Very enjoyable 2 night stay with welcoming and efficient staff. Very clean and well appointed throughout. An excellent buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice.

A gem of a hotel with a kind, courteous staff. It's a small hotel feeling with all the amenities. The views are stunning. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Only drawbacks are noise from road and the comfort of the bed (as an American I find this everywhere in Europe).

Nice, local, legit See hotel
Very close to water, and truly nice accommodations, good staff, ok breakfast, very good dinner. A bit expensive for the value and there are other places truly seafront, but from the property you can reach public lakefront areas and the views across the lake are breathtaking. Did not have any issues with noise and the property and rooms are very well kept. We had a very good experience.

The hotel was nice with a lovely view of the lake. There was a good restaurant and a nice bar, but we were on the third floor without lift and only had a shower no bath.

Beautiful hotel opposite the lake
We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Only a 45 minute drive from Munich but away from the all the traffic and noise. The room was amazing and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food from the restaurant was an absolute highlight.

Wonderful, quaint hotel in a beautiful town.
I absolutely loved this hotel. It had a personal touch I don't get at many of the larger places I've stayed at. The room was spotless, location was beautiful, the staff was on the ball (plus they happily lugged my overweight bag up the stairs). I will stay here if/when I get back to Tegernsee.

The hotel has friendly and helpful staff and good management. They could not do enough to help make our stay very enjoyable. The hotel is well positioned by the water with great views. The food was surprisingly good and adventurous. We hope to return in the winter when we hope there will be snow!!

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Food was outstanding, and the view of the Tegernsee fantastic. Charming older hotel but with completely modernized baths, maintained spotlessly. The hotel is on a main street in Tegernsee so you have to accept some noise to get the great view, or choose the equally nice rooms facing the hill. Very family friendly for even the youngest. Older children may find the free internet is a bit slow in this lake/mountainous area, but a walk along the lake to the Brauestuberl or a swim in the lake should fix them up. Take ferry right outside hotel to all the other spots on the lake. All in all a highly recommended spot and the nicest staff and owners you could ever ask for!

Lovely location
This refurbished boutique hotel is located on the lakeside, so having a room at the front of the hotel is advisable. However, if you have a room at the back I suspect there will be less traffic/bar noise.The staff are all helpful and friendly, the room was spotlessly clean, simply furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of food from smoked salmon, eggs cooked to order, to an impressive range of artisan breads.One of the ferry lines has a stop near the hotel.We were disappointed that there were no coffee and tea making facilities, particularly as this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at, however, this is really the only criticism of a really nice hotel in a lovely location in a fantastic area.

A relaxing and inspiring location
Arrived at the hotel after 6 days walking in the Bavarian Alps which had got progressively harder as it turned out I had fractured a bone in my foot. But the hotel staff were most helpful. The corner room we had had a superb view overlooking Tegernsee lake. Breakfasts were excellent with good choices of fruit as well as the usual traditional fare. Evening meals also really good. Only slight downside and this is not the hotels problem was the traffic noise. But this abated in the evening and with double insulated windows caused no problems. The hotel which is one of the oldest in Tegernsee, but very modern now, is a wonderful lakeside retreat with all the benefits of a small German tourist town to hand.

Authentisches Hotel, sehr gepflegt
Eigentlich wäre alles perfekt gewesen, wenn einem auf der Hotelwebseite nicht falsche Begebenheiten suggeriert würden. Da ist die Rede von 30 m2 grossen Zimmer mit Balkonen und Seesicht. Leider aber hatte unser Zimmer keinen Balkon, obwohl das ein Hauptkriterium für meine Buchung war. Ich habe ein anderes Zimmer verlangt, das ich dann auch bekam. Diesmal aber mit einem kleineren Doppelbett und niemals 30 m2 gross wie auf der Webseite angegeben. Deshalb kann ich leider keine allzu gute Bewertung abgeben. Schade, weil uns sonst das Hotel eigentlich gut gefallen hätte. Sauber, gute Lage und wirklich super Frühstück mit tollem Service.

In die Jahre gekommen und dennoch sehr reizvolles
Ein kleines und gemütliches Hotel, direkt am See. Leider waren die Zimmer sehr kalt und auch die Heizung schaffte es nicht, eine behagliche Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Sobald die Temperaturen etwas steigen, ist diese Unterkunft eine sehr gute Wahl. Das Restaurant im Haus kann ich nur empfehlen. Leider gibt es, altersbedingt, im Haus keinen Aufzug. Der Mitarbeiter am Empfang hilft jedoch gerne beim tragen der Gepäckstücke

Sehr freundliches Personal, ausgezeichnete Küche! Bei Ankunft viel Staub im gesamten Bereich! Hotel liegt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße, daher sehr laut. Schöner Balkon, aber nicht so richtig nutzbar wegen der Straße.

Die Unterkunft liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Seebad Monte Mare direkt am See. Es ist ein sehr schönes altes Haus, das sehr liebevoll renoviert ist. Für Abends gibt es eine sehr gemütliche Bar im Erdgeschoss. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Da hat wirklich nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schönes Hotel mit Ambiente und Seeblick
Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick. Sehr gutes Frühstück, mit sehr aufmerksamen Personal. Die Auswahl ist frisch und reichhaltig. und Die Cocktails in der Bar werden professionell zubereitet. Die beiden Barkeeper sind unglaublich ambitioniert und geben der Bar das, was Ihren Flair ausmacht. Insgesamt ist das Personal absolut kundenorientiert. Ich würde jederzeit dieses Hotel bei einem Besuch in Tegernsee bevorzugen.
