Central location - on Main Street of town.

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Pros: It was central
Cons: See above
Location: Good location..........shopping.
Reception quick & efficient. Dining room staff, Beronica & Natalia bright, friendly & efficient. Food is very average 'pub grub' - the Cullen skink was unpalatable.....far too salty. Corridors bit run down looking and colour scheme needs attention...at least refresh the grey paintwork.

Pros: Great Location smack bang in the middle of Peebles.
Cons: The breakfast was nice but was only warm , prefer it if it was piping hot
Location: The world is your oyster, walking , cycling you name it and its on the doorstep
Very nice Hotel, maybe a wee bit tired in some areas, but our room was very nice. Toilet looked brand new, shower was perplexing, why do they make them complicated.

town centre hotel, good parking,

well placed hotel in centre of Peebles, rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the river, and hills, and are usually quiet. Food has always been very good , and the staff lovely.

Very nice hotel with nice modern rooms and bathrooms. Good value breakfast in a nice setting. The only downside is the limited parking on-site.

Very comfy and pleasant. Great views from the Adam Room. Good service. The one drawback, and is not the hotel's fault, was a frequently screaming (past midnight one night) toddler in a nearby room. Perhaps child guests should be restricted to those over four or five??

Crazy hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2016
Pros: The staff were very nice.
Cons: Better windows. Bigger car park.
Location: Peebles is a very nice town and well worth a visit.
Bizarre lay-out, consisting of two buildings stuck together. Maze-like in places and not an easy place to weave around with luggage. Rooms comfy and clean but quite old-fashioned (especially the windows) and a lot of noise from the street outside late at night. Car Park not big enough either.
