The best reason to go to Loch Ness

Posted Oct 22, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer
Location: Nice drives and lovely views
Buffet breakfast included fresh strawberries and pancakes with an array of toppings. Cooked breakfast from the menu was thoroughly enjoyable, especially a unique local twist of a sausage. Room was very clean, modern and boutique-like. There were picturesque views of rolling hills and roaming cows.

Spacious and comfortable.

Excellent room, facilities, breakfast. Top class B&B minor issue is the road to/from that can be a bit of a challenge if your sat nav takes you down the shortest route which is very much a track. Would certainly go again if in the sea.

Lovely B&B in the countryside close to Edinburgh

Posted Aug 9, 2016
Pros: The serene beauty of the countryside, away from the noise of the city, yet close enough to drive for shopping.
Cons: I can't think of anything.
Location: The city of Edinburgh is a short drive. You can get all your shopping done. The Lock Ness is 3 minutes away with a restaurant.
Peace and quiet of the countryside, yet close enough to Edinburgh. Great breakfast, and the hosts couldn't be more accommodating.

Lovely house in beautiful location

Posted May 23, 2016
Pros: Everything. The house was gorgeous, as was the location. Went for a walk before breakfast & the neighbour's horse & donkeys were very friendly too.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Quiet & peaceful, easy driving distance from Inverness and Loch Ness.
Fantastic, friendly hosts. Very comfortable bed and the quiet, rural setting meant a good night's sleep. The breakfast was tasty & filling too. Great value for money.

Inverness B&B

Posted May 23, 2016
Clean and comfortable stay. The hosts, Neal and Angela are delightful. They do a cooked to order breakfast which was always good. They are south of town a ways out, which could be an issue if you want to walk to the downtown area - but they have a pub reasonably close we walked to. I would certain consider staying here again if I am back in the area.

Fantastic B&B by Loch Ness

Posted May 18, 2016
This was the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The owners, Angie & Neal are absolutely nice & helpful. The B&B is right in the middle of hilly, lush farmland. It was so peaceful to read a book before bed while sitting in front of the window watching the cows grase. Although not advertised, there is a beautiful 40 minute walk through the pastures to the Dores Inn & Tavern for some good food & drink while admiring the Loch Ness. The breakfast was great - made to order & Angie kept encouraging us to try new foods. If you want to explore the beautiful area of the Highlands by automobile, this is the place.

Away from it all if you want

Posted May 8, 2016
Pros: The welcoming hosts set the whole thing up . From the benches outside to the immaculate rooms I could not fault anything in the hotel.
Cons: The track to the house, it is only the last 200 yards which are bumpy.
Location: 2 miles from Loch Ness and the pub but central for all the tourist attractions, Cawdor Castle, Urquhart Castle and the Black Isle brewery within reach
A back country road lead to this ex-farmhouse, it is clean, tidy, quaint and very welcoming on the outside but the road IS a farm road and a but bumpy but short. Inside the house is very well decorated and in excellent condition with Neil and Angela taking great care of the house and the guests, the daily room clean was what I get in a 4 star hotel and not usually in a B&B, the tea making facilities catered for everyone with 5 different teas and coffee plus biscuits. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the location ensures no traffic noise in the morning. A vast array of breakfast cereals/yoghurts/fresh fruits etc was a welcoming sight every morning and a freshly prepared fried breakfast if required to round it off. The house is 2 miles from Loch Ness, and an easy drive to Inverness after the 200 yard farm track, so makes for a perfect base to visit nessie or even over the Dornach bridge and further north...I drove the length of Loch Ness and kept going onto Glenfinnan and THAT viaduct and it was an easy drive and back in time for Inverness at night.
