Weekend school breakPosted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: family friendly facilites for kids are good but swimming pool area desperately needs upgrades - multiple cracked (or mis tiles in the pool area and
Cons: The hotel is tired looking now and could do with upgrades in the rooms and the leisure facilities especially
Location: Great cycle/running track in easy access. good hillwalking, climbing Plenty cafes / eating places in Aviemore area
Went to Aviemore for a long weekend break as a family. The location is ideal for those who love outdoor activities of which there are plenty to enjoy in Aviemore The hotel is very family friendly and has lots of families as residents - there can therefore be quite a babble of noise in the lobby which may not suit those without families. The food is good but beware you dont seem to be able to eat with small children between 7 and 8 in the restaurant or bistro - so we had to use the bar meal service - which can take a long time to arrive when the bar is busy (which it invariably is with a holiday weekend). This was very frustrating if you have a full day out and about and you do not want to eat at 6 pm

Always happy!Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: As in review
Cons: As in review
Location: We were there to see Mumford and Sons but there is an abundance of things to do such as Landmark, Ospreys, Cairngorm, skiing, water sports and more
Having stayed at Coylumbridge since I was a child I can say that it is still as good as it always has been. The resort feels more like a resort than a hotel and the bars and restaurants serve good food and drinks. The pool is relaxing and having the two pool areas is a significant benefit. The grounds are beautiful and lovely for a walk. The fun house also has good fun options for adults and children and you could easily spend a few hours in there. Breakfast is buffet style and has a wide variety although I must say it would benefit from slightly more variety of drinks as only apple, orange and grapefruit juice were available. Pineapple juice, tropical and maybe chocolate and other flavoured milks would add a bit more value, as would pancakes or some other dining options. Dinner was nice however it did feel as though the staff were rushing us as the main was brought out as soon as the starter was done and we felt pressured into ordering desert quickly so this could be improved on. A very nice stay though and perfect for what we needed it for.

We really enjoyed our stay at Coylumbridge. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. The hotel was a great base for exploring the Highlands and the food was excellent.

a resort hotelPosted Jul 27, 2015
hotel staff is very helpful except the servers at the restaurants. believe they are temporary staffs for peak season. hotel room is a bit small and facilities are a bit old.

Wonderful hotel, pity about the lack of investmentPosted Jul 22, 2015
The hotel food and staff are excellent and we found the place spotless however the decoration and finish really need upgrading.I would happily pay more to stay here if the investment was made in this area.Staying here a few years back plans for a new leisure complex were proudly displayed however these are gone with no change made, what happened Hilton? The pool complex is horrible!

Short stayPosted Jul 20, 2015
Short stay with family - good experience as usual, although 'standard' gripes about hotel bar prices (Woodshed ok) and child cut off dates apply
