What a wonderful place. The check in was fast and efficient. As I unloaded my luggage, I noticed a chicken wandering about the entry door to the annex building. It was comically quaint. Inside the building, the smell was fresh and clean, and the carpet was clean and stainless. The room was well appointed and again, smelled fresh and clean. Everything worked as it should, and the building was quiet. It was a very nice stay.

We stayed here on our way through to Missouri. Booked room on day of stay and staff was able to meet our request of top floor room! Staff was very nice. Room was clean and quiet. The train did blow its whistle but it did not wake us up. Bed was comfortable. No free breakfast available but there is a diner right next to the hotel and Scottsbluff is right down the road. We would stay here again.

Property consists of several buildings. I stayed in a building to the east of the main which was very quiet. Penny’s diner is adjacent and open 24 hours which is convenient.

One of the entrances would not let me in even after I went back to the front desk and they reset the keys. Luckily the other entrance to the building worked fine. The carpet was a little sticky in one spot but the bed was comfortable. It seemed quiet while I was there .

On the border
Stayed here about 4 years ago and had a good experience so stayed again while passing through the area. The rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. Quick and easy check-in. Away from everything, so a drive may be in order if looking for fine dining. An interesting point, "The Big Smoke," took place just west of here in 1851. Although relegated to just 4 historical placards on the north side of the road, it's also worth a visit.

An OK place.
The place looks a little rundown. Are the inside of the rooms are fine. There was a big sticky spot on the carpet under the sink so every time I step there I stuck to the carpet. When I checked the bed out, there was a red crusty stain on the mattress pad otherwise the room was fine. It had a nice comfy chair and ottoman for a comfortable place to sit. Some extra amenities like shampoo and body wash were included all in all very acceptable motel for the price I would stay there again.

Nice place, clean, quiet, staff was very nice. It’s your basic motel, beds were comfortable and everything worked as it should. Having the Penny’s was convenient. Only drawback was the rooms could use updating, but fair for the price. We would stay there again.

It was nice, when we checked in the only problem we had was one room wasn't cleaned, but they got too it as soon as they knew and it was done right up. Definitely would stay there again. The diner that's right in front (Penny's diner) was decent too. The people were friendly, a little forgetful when it came to getting refills for the soda but they were on top of refilling our coffees

"Penny's Cafe" was a joke. One of the workers cussed like a sailor the entire time we were there. Another guy did everything; he was the waiter, cook, and cashier. The front desk gal at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. She was apparently related to the people running the cafe because she came over there while we were waiting for our food.

This was an exceptionally clean room! Usually when I am staying at a motel, even ones that are rated highly for cleanliness, I usually see dead beetles, dust bunnies and crumbs along the edges of the wall where it meets the floor. That wasn't the case here! I was in two different rooms here (different nights), and they were both really clean! The bed was firm and comfortable and the front desk people were helpful. For food there is an associated diner out front which is open 24/7. I had dinner there, it was nothing to write home about, but it was adequate and open. The "open" part gets high marks from me, as so often in small towns there is nowhere to eat if you pull in late. Oddly, though, you can only see a menu at the diner by scanning a QR code on your phone. If you don't have a smart phone or cell service, I'm not sure how you would see a menu. I would absolutely stay at this Travelodge again.

Wasn’t a bad stay especially when pricing is considered. Plus-bath was very clean. Towels were spectacular-thick and fresh. Room wasn’t bad but could have been cleaned better. Ottoman wasn’t vacuumed under and stuff under bed from prior visitors.
