Big shocker

Pros: Prompt service.
Cons: Lock the doors! Clean the room.
Location: Very close off the highway which was convenient.
I am not adverse to an Econo Lodge however this one was a bit of a shock. We did get in very late (2:30 a.m.) due to a terrible snow storm. When we rang the bell at the desk someone came out quickly and attended to us. We got the room and ALL the room doors were ajar... which was very strange. It's dated but seemed clean. Until we got in the bathroom which had a clogged toilet and had obviously been recently USED. Sink was also unclean. I guess when the doors are left open anyone can go in to any room so did not feel very secure. Did call and asked for another room which was provided right away. Room was FREEZING (again door left ajar) and we all slept with one eye open.

Clean and cheap but little else

Pros: Clean and cheap
Cons: Breakfast worthless
Location: It is on the "main drag" of Clarks Summit, PA near to several gas stations and restaurants.
Check in was fine as we had booked on line and they were ready for us. The room was clean and fairly newly renovated (except the bathtub itself which was clearly not replaced when the remodel was done.) There was a clear trip hazard at the bathroom door as the floor was built up when the remodel took place and there was a nearly 1 1/2 inch step up into the bathroom. The breakfast was as follows: stale cereal, juice mis-marked, no milk for cereal, no bread for toast just english muffins and pre-packaged pastries, no yogurt, and worst of all NO FRUIT of any kind. I wasn't expecting a three course breakfast but it was clear the owners thought breakfast wasn't a part of anyone's decision to stay there.

Pros: nothing
Cons: smell, odor in room, bath tub, if showing as a double room make sure that it is a double room offered.
room smelled, bathroom dirty, no tub, just shower.

You can tell they are in the process of renovation. We got one of the new rooms and it was very nice. The only bad think I have to say about this place is the continental breakfast wasn't good. Very small limited selection and not the freshest either.

Very nice staff!!! They were super helpful and friendly. The building is showing its wear and tear though. Housekeeping was great though.

Mid-Century Modern Architecture

Pros: maintenance
Cons: This would be a very nice motel if it was restored with the correct "Retro" furnishings and lighting fixtures and sconces. Motel has great potential!
Location: This motel is right in the heart of the town and close to everything, great location!
This is a nice motel, seems to be in a state of "improvement and restoration". Since the architecture is of the late 1950's, early '60's, it would be a beautiful motel if the owner would be able to add the furniture and lighting fixtures that would be of that era. I told the Desk Host about our room had a missing "aerator" on the sink faucet and she thanked me for letting her know and made a note immediately, and even asked for details on what is exactly, and the purpose of it, so she could let maintenance install a new one. I hope this motel continues to bring the decor back to what it originally was since there is a big trend in bringing back the "Mid-Century" style in not only furniture and lighting but also kitchen appliances. (i.e.) Big Chill Retro Appliances.

No surprises

Pros: Quiet, pleasant staff
Location: A little tricky to get to but worth the effort.
While a little bit tired, everything worked and the staff made it a pleasant experience. Quiet, good bed - it met expectations.
