We are an extended stay property so we do have a lot of guests who actually do reside on property, however in rooms, not in our public spaces. I did not witness this at all through the weekend (people sleeping in areas of the hotel). As far as the housekeeping and maintenance of your room goes, I have addressed this with our housekeeping managers and maintenance staff. What you experienced is not acceptable and again has been brought to their attention. I can assure you that these items will be addressed. Cutlery and utensils should be in all of the rooms, so with that being said, I have also passed this on to our new housekeeping managers. We did close the pool on our own, however because of our city laws and regulations, the city did come and has to place that on the door so that they are aware for inspection purposes. We have removed our continental breakfast, however we do have individual Keurig machines that are available upon request to be put in to your room. I can understand how this was inconvenient for you and your family and would make for a unpleasant stay. In regards to the lights, I also can see where that would be frustrating. I am sharing this note with my maintenance team to see if there may be something wrong with the sensors with the lights in that room. Our pool is indefinitely closed as well. I will pass the information on regarding the stains on your sheets and curtains to housekeeping as well. We are a non-smoking property and do require a security deposit in the event the guests do smoke in the room, then they are charged for that.
