Beautiful building and lobby. Attentive front desk staff. Decent bar/restaurant (Trax) and main dinning area is good for breakfast. Location in the downtown area. Room was as advertised in physical terms and all furnishings were modern, comfortable, and in good shape. Didn't like the fact that we didn't have maid service for a 2-night stay, considering the price and that there was no indication of this when making the reservation. One set of towels and other bathroom amenities each for 2 nights seemed inadequate considering that we weren't getting maid service. Had a front facing room on the 2nd floor and could not close curtains to keep out the light from parking lot lamps.

All of the Staff were great, front desk, housekeeping& restaurant. Breakfast was average. Lobby is beautiful! Hotel rooms are clean. Jacuzzi in our room was really clean. The shower needs safety valve because as you are using it the water changes from ice cold to scalding hot if someone else in the building is using water. There is not a single towel rack or hook for toiletries except back of the bathroom door. There was nothing within reach of shower to put your towel on. TV is small for the size of the room.

This is a beautiful historic building, with one of the most beautiful lobbies I’ve ever seen. That said, the furniture and design of the trax restaurant as well as the halls and guest rooms, though clean, are dated. The main lobby has, among other treasures, an original Tiffany glass barreled ceiling. Unfortunately, it isn’t backlit. If it were, it would bring out the full glory of the room. I don’t know if it is possible, instead of a parking lot, I would love to see the front of the building landscaped. Then it might be a destination hotel. Other than that, the hotel is clean and the employees helpful.

Lovely historic building with modern updated comfy rooms, it’s the best of both worlds. The food at Trax is very good and Maria’s a great, attentive bartender. Easy to get to from the Highway and convenient to all points of interest. Five stars!

Bar and club across the street had a loud band that kept me up until 3am and staff said they could not do anything about it. Loud in hotel at night. Restaurant in hotel had poor meal service. Took over an hour to get a sandwich.

Perfect Romantic Weekend Getaway
This is one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever stayed in. A historical train station transformed into an elegant hotel, restaurant, and bar. Everything is immaculately clean, architecture is superb, the people who work here are absolutely amazing, friendly, happy, and so helpful. Comfortable beds and atmosphere. Fantastic date night restaurant on site, Carmen's 2.0, the food was perfection, our hostess and waitress was phenomenal and so personable. Gorgeous restaurant/bar, Trax, also on site with great happy hour specials and bar tenders. This is a perfect get away for a romantic weekend. You never have to leave the property, but if you do you are surrounded by history at every turn.

A great old building beautifully restored and modernized. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful. We arrived early, and they let us in the room right away. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but had room service, which arrived very quickly, the food was delicious, and the portion sizes large. If you are traveling to Scranton, this is the place to stay in.

This is a 115 year old train station that was converted into a hotel in 1983. It's been updated frequently. The elegant lobby is an atrium open to the sky, with stained glass overhead. Breakfast there is surprisingly inexpensive and the best in town. Over the holidays there were antique Santas and tin soldiers greeting visitors, in addition to two towering Christmas trees wonderfully decorated. I marvel at the marble and the 400(?) pound brass wall sconces.
