Close to everything but hotel is dated

Posted Nov 25, 2016
Stayed one night, hotel staff was friendly. Hotel is dated and pricey for the age of hotel.

Great Short Getaway

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Hot and room had great amenities. Indoor pool, spa, gym, club and lounge. Room had balcony, large frig and micro. And fast room service too!
Cons: Carpet in rooms need replacing. They look pretty worn currently prehaps because of the color. Other than that our room and stay was really great!
Location: Shopping

Pool/Hot Tub Great but Hotel not for Handicapped

Posted Oct 29, 2016
Location: Mohegan Sun casino just down the road; free shuttle offered until 2 am
Room with 2 double beds was comfortable and attractively decorated; a little on the small side. Biggest complaint was that the facility was difficult to navigate if you have trouble walking and impossible if you are traveling with someone in a wheelchair or stroller-- long hallways and numerous stairs, no elevator. Sprawling and spacious, the hotel has 2 restaurants on the second floor -- food was mediocre in the one we tried but staff good. The best part of the hotel was its gorgeous deep indoor pool and a room-size hot tub. Website mentions a free breakfast, but we learned on arrival that is true only on weekdays.

I used the hotel to stay overnight in Wilkes-Barre before a professional seminar. It was convenient, and had a certain mid 20th century charm to it, although a lot of the hotel had been refurbished. Funky carpet. Conference room was at the far end of the hotel, but a long hallway got me there. Parking was convenient. A bar, club and sushi restaurant are on the premises.

Noisy. Not for families.

Posted Oct 4, 2016
Pros: The indoor pool was lovely. Grounds and restaurant fine.
Cons: Totally lack of professionalism around booking. I have never had an experience like this and hope to never have it again.
We were shocked to be told at registration that we were on the noisiest corridor of the hotel and to be expect noise until 2am. This was correct and even more problematic because we had called to reserve the room and wasn't told that this is the only area for pets. They knew we had 6 year old twins. It's hard to believe they somehow accepted our reservation and didn't tell us. There was no sympathy at check-in and we were stuck there for a sleepless night and following day with everyone tired and cranky. NOT ACCEPTABLE in any way.

Nice hotel, with restaurants, Jacuzzi, and pool.

Good time, really enjoyed our stay here. We loved all the connected restaurants and the Jacuzzi and Pool. The outside Deck Bar overlooking the creek is really neat.

Hidden gem 3 hours away from NYC

Posted Sep 20, 2016
Don't let the highway location fool you. The architecture and outer layout of this resort is beautifully designed to accommodate to your needs without exiting the premises, while continuing to view the nature outside. An inner courtyard provides a safe area to take quiet stroll/walk pets/free the kids. It is steps away from the outdoor (heated!) pool, entrance to 2 of their onsite restaurants, and pet friendly outdoor deck seating area. My boyfriend and I were only interested in finding a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of NYC, maybe a massage or two. Instead, we found ourselves a great bargain and wonderful vacation of absolute relaxation with so many bonuses. I highly recommend making massage appointments at Alexander's Spa due to the lack of onsite staff availability (their main location is Scranton). Maria and Emma nearly put us into a comatose state of bliss. I had Angela for my facial and my skin felt good enough to go without makeup for the next day. Access to the indoor jacuzzi downstairs, alongside with another (indoor) pool, and their mini gym was convenient and CLEAN. Housekeeping was always spot on and very quiet when checking rooms. All in all, I would definitely come back and do it all again. The only reason I docked 1 star is due to their thin walls (you can hear EVERYTHING) and when you order food via room service, they connect you to the restaurant directly... Who delivers the food in takeout containers instead of actual dinnerware.

Dear Sunny: Thank you for sharing your experience regarding your recent stay. Yes, don't be fooled by the location, once inside you'll have no idea you're near a major highway, lush greenery, a running stream with great views from our rooms, restaurants and nightlife. We can't wait to host you again in the very near future. Thank you, Ross Kornfeld
