Perfect location

Hotel is within minutes to everything you need to see in Porto. Elevator to Riverside is less than 1 block. Restaurants and tourist attractions are close to hotel. Clean, nice staff and parking available if needed.

Perfect location

Posted Nov 11, 2017
Pros: If you are a walker, the hotel's location is perfect. It's in a very nice shopping area and close to many important sites in Porto
Cons: A couple of times the coffee pods and cups were not replenished; otherwise, everything else was very nice
Location: location is central to shopping and important sites of interest to a first-time visitor
The few times I had contact with hotel staff, they were courteous and helpful. Hotel is very clean in a great location.

Nice location, but it's not everything!

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: See above.
Cons: A couple of pieces of functional furniture would do wonders!
Location: Easy to walk around and explore the city from the hotel's location.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The public spaces, i.e. the reception, the bar, the breakfast room are very good - pleasing to the eye. The downside is the quality of the rooms. To say that they are Spartan is to disparage Sparta. The rooms provide no dressers/bureaus/chests, etic. where one can unpack clothes. One's clothes must be left in one's suitcase and rummaged through to find changes in clothing. The room we occupied had one "tiny" night stand with a lamp. The desk, although small, sufficed for a computer. However, due to the dearth of places to put one's belongings, the desk became overloaded with personal items. On the upside, the bathroom amenities were above average. Have stayed at Acor properties before, but never one as basic.

Perfect for a short stay

Posted Sep 15, 2017
Pros: Staff and the breakfasts.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Great location and lots of shopping nearby as well as the station and the funicular down to the river.
Everything was perfect for a short stay in Porto. No complaints about anything except the standard room was a little cramped even for a single traveller. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic.

Good central location for visiting Porto

Posted Aug 8, 2017
Pros: The breakfast was very good
Location: From this hotel you can reach almost all of Porto's sights within 15 minutes on foot but you do have to walk uphill.
This is a standard Mercure hotel with little in the way of frills but which provides a good standard of comfort

Great location, comfortable stay!

Posted Jul 5, 2017
The location was great. 5 minute walk to most places (shopping area, good food areas that open late, all squares), the water is maybe 10-15 minute walk but very straight forward if you have a map. Breakfast is 9€ per person if you book the day before and the food is really good and many choices. Comfortable rooms, clean and spacious and also a good view to the city depending on which room you get.
