We really enjoy our stays at Riverwalk Inn. We were a little disappointed this visit because our room had a entry door that wouldn't close properly. It definitely needed repairing. Other than that we had a good stay and lookf forward to our next visit.

The ad said dog friendly but said nothing about an extra fee to be applied. It was a bummer to start a quick overnight trip like this.

Hi Darrell. It actually does state in every confirmation sent to our guests that we do have a pet fee of 15 per pet per night. As well as we make you fill out a reservation form and a pet form that both state we have a 15 pet fee. We also noticed you have stayed with us a couple times before and in every reservation form you have filled out it states this same information, but I'm sorry you felt this standard fee most hotels have was a bummer to your overnight trip.

The view was lovely and breakfast was good. The bed was like a rock and only half the outlets and lighting worked inside the room.

Staff was nice but informed me at check-in that there was a $15 fee per night for my pet, which is not listed on Expedia. Room was clean but ants appeared every day in the bathroom. Sliding glass door to balcony did not lock. Leaky toilet in room above or next door sporadically ran like a running faucet throughout the entire time. We didn't ask to change rooms because we were afraid we would just get something worse. Outside structure is typical wear of ocean weather. Area across parking lot piled with debris. Breakfast was preformed eggs, sausage, good biscuits/gravy, bagels, yogurts, but nothing outstanding. Not really walking distance to town but passengers from the cruise ship that docked near the motel had many people walking off.

Though i understand the inconvenience of switching rooms i do wish you would have notified the front desk because we could have switched you to a room that didn't have these minor issues like your balcony door not locking and hearing a neighbors toilet running. Yes we did hear about a couple rooms in a specific area that found some ants in the room but we have already had Orkin come in and take care of the issue. Just like any other building we cannot stop things like this from occurring all we can do is fix the problem when they come up. Again i am sorry about these issues and hope you have a great rest of your day.

As stated by many others, the hotel is dated and old looking. Could use a refresh, however, the things that matter the most when you stay in a hotel: cleanliness, water pressure, comfortable bed, walls that don’t amplify noise, courteous staff and safety, the hotel scores high. Thanks to the staff for helping us celebrate our anniversary. The pups did well and we had a nice weekend.

Awesome, big room with great views. Large bathroom and did I mention the view! Great breakfast with lots of choices. Older building but very well build and quite. Loved the balcony and the view

The property had an amazing view but the actual hotel and building was grimy and disgusting. The carpet and curtains are dusty and disgusting. Staff was also not very friendly. I would not recommend this place. If your going to spent that kind of money, better off going elsewhere.

The rooms over looking the marina and bridge are awesome. You can watch the big freighters coming in or going out. You feel like you can almost touch them. Breakfast is great

I loved the balcony facing the marina; I like the location by the water and the bridge overhead. Maybe a little more landscaping in the front yard will increase the beauty of this place. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Room 142 Accepted our pet. The view was of a protected port with large boats of all kinds rocked gently in the water.Astoria is a very welcoming place. It is a quiet and very restful place to spend some time but check the weather before you go because you want to go when the sun is out.

The property could use some work. The walls are thin so we were able to hear everything from our neighbors. We never had hot water in the shower. Our tv remote didn’t work, which was unfortunate since we had kids with us. The bathroom door was jammed so it would shut all the way. The room itself wasn’t awful, just a bit outdated. The view was pretty, but not enough to stay here again. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have low standards.

We love this property and come every year. Great location, great rooms, great price, includes fresh coffee all day and evening. The people are wonderful. We enjoy the balcony overlooking the narina, river and bridge. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I can’t give a good rating for this hotel . I booked a king room , not pet friendly because I suffer with horrible allergies . By the time we checked in and got back to the room it was well after 9pm . I noticed immediately we infact did have a pet friendly room when I booked a non pet room . Then I went to get into the shower after a long day of hiking and noticed the shower was filthy and there was someone’s electric toothbrush left on top of the soap dispenser in the shower .. it was too late for us to do anything about it , so we skipped the shower and left first thing in the morning . I did take photos of the first shower and the left behind toothbrush .

It does look like you stayed in a non pet friendly room so i do apologize if there was evidence of a dog. Sometimes people sneak dogs in non pet friendly rooms without permission which causes issues like this and i am so very sorry for that. As for checking into a room that was not 100% ready to go and finding belongings in the room this is unacceptable and i will be talking to my staff about this. Again i am so so sorry about this and if there is anything we can do to make this right please dont hesitate to reach out for this is never the experience we want our guests to have.

A worthy upgrade from other local motels. Breakfast was fresh, well looked after and sufficient enough that I didn’t have to stumble in to town for more. Local coffee was a nice touch as well! Thunder muck is a strong brew to match the community, was glad to have it each morning. Staff were all super nice. Plenty of parking, easy walk to a couple of pubs and food trucks. If you like your steps, it’s not a hard walk to town. Rooms were of a decent size, nice to have double sinks, fridge and microwave. We made use of them all. As others have mentioned, there are signs of age, but they do a good job keeping things clean, it just might be good to get in there and start patching some things and cleaning some grout lines, things that the average room cleaner can’t do. Lastly, the water pressure and temp was strong! Good coffee and a strong shower go a long way! Shoot, forgot to mention the view, balconies are a good size so you can enjoy when the rain isn’t blowing sideways!

Loved that it is on the marina and not far from downtown. Rooms are comfortable and clean though there are signs of wear in areas, but we overlooked that for having two comfortable chairs with a table to sit at to look out at the view. We’d stay here again.
