Angle Lake Park is one of my favorite places to watch the sunrise. #AquaTrove Take a flight with a few friends. Just finished a first session with the Trover team here.... Learning to float, turn, rise. Super fun. About $50 pp. Pancake machine - Alaska board room. Bring your own syrup. One of the better things I've seen in an airport. Tons of free books, e-books, and magazines to choose from. All they request is you return them before your flight. Great service!!!! Beautiful sunset the the Seattle International Airport We had a family match-off with this free game. Not surprisingly, my wife won.
We had 12 boys here for a 12-year-old birthday party and it was an absolute blast. This place is great for families for kids or whoever. I highly recommend it. The Castle Gate was built by American Airlines employees in support of the Snowball Express project, in which the children and families of fallen soldiers are flown to Disneyland on a chartered flight for a 3-day visit. The flight leaves from this gate in early December each year. If you are passing through Seatac on American Airlines you might be lucky enough to board your plane through the castle gate! Fried oysters! On the tarmac at SeaTac ending a great time in Seattle. Special thanks to all the Trovers who posted photos of Seattle. We used some of your suggestions and found places we never could have found on our own. It really enhanced our visit. So much fun! The whole Trover team showed up to see what all the hype around ugly was about, and for sure it was a hit! Hard work though... Be prepared for a little physical effort... And maybe a desire to be back next week to perfect some skills! Beautiful sunset the the Seattle International Airport Massage by mean girls? Hmmm... Might be something to this approach. Their name caught my eye, and I certainty didn't forget who I'd made an apt with. I expect they'll take my massage seriously, which is all I ask for:) love the painting on the wall, emphasizing their specialty is
therapeutic. Close-up of the gate door at the American Airlines Castle Gate. This gate is decorated every December as part if project Snowball Express. What a fun way to start your holiday travels! Was really craving some chowder on the flight back from Chicago yesterday. Never really tried Anthony's at SEA-TAC airport before. Decided to give it a go, since I've always wondered the quality of food at the airport.
Needless to say, my expectations were blown away. The chowder was delicous! Watch out for the plane... Throwback to Seattle trip March 2014. The most #delicious Sinigang Na Hipon I have tasted! One of the best hotel restaurants in the NW, at Cedarbrook Lodge. Have some time to kill before your flight at SeaTac? Mosey into Vino Volo and start your travels on the right foot with some good wine and a charcuterie plate. Super cozy, you'll feel safely tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Ahhhh. Peach pie perfection at my favorite #restaurant: my house! #SecretFamilyRecipe #CustardGoodness Love the mood, waiters are the boys next door, and you have to try my favorite: lavender sweet potato fries. Don't get a crappy scone with your Starbucks for breakfast. Walk over here and get the Tuscan eggs. For lunch I like the meatball sub and the chicken tortellini Alfredo. My mom's from Pennsylvania and says it's a true steak sandwich when there's NO cheese on it. I think that's crazy talk, but regardless, this place has great food and free pasta for the kids! Mickey & Friends Sunset at 30k feet somewhere between California and Washington. Did a corporate offsite/retreat here, and loved it. Beautiful little oasis in SeaTac. Beautiful grounds, rooms, and really friendly staff. Also, the Copperleaf restaurant there is a must try. Great pasta and pizza while you wait for you flight. My favorite is the alfredo sauce with penne noodles. Seatac in Seattle and the big window. Nice for an airport. Taken beside Starbucks. Beautiful classic Porsche. I think it is a 1958, 356A Speedster. Passing through Seattle on your way to adventure? Treat yourself to something delicious at Beechers. Amazing cheese and lots of other delicious choices (sammies, soups, travel friendly snack packs...) Find it in the C concourse. A great Japanese restaurant in Southcenter. Full and fresh nigiri and sashimi menu, rolls are varied and delicious, plus bento and much more. Full bar too with Japanese beer on tap. Solicitous to kids, lots of seating. Love this place! This is one of those markers that just grab you. Oh my goodness, this is the King of All Spray Parks! You have to go even if you don't have kids to check out the entertaining Mega Splasher, (the only one in the Northwest) and the pretty, clean, warm lake. Parking can be dicey in nice weather but there's an overflow lot just south. Who knew SeaTac had more than an airport?? Solid manicure, pricier than I pay at other nail salons (it's ~$30) but when you're on the go the convenience is worth a few extra bucks! Located in C gate retail area at SeaTac Airport. Loads of fantastic colors to choose from. Jambalaya noodles Nice lanes ! This place is an 18 acre oasis in the middle of the SeaTac (near the airport) chaos. Built originally by WA Mutual as a training/retreat facility, it is now a hotel/lodge with great indoor and outdoor spaces, beautiful bar and restaurant, really good, high end food and wine, and excellent service. Private parties, corporate retreats, a weekend away, or just a night out, this place is really cool. When it's cold outside... Nothing beats a warm cabbage salad at the bar! Get a local beer while your at it and enjoy conversation with the friendly staff. One of those places you pass by everyday, and assume only the locals go to, until you realize your a local and you want some teriyaki. Perhaps a little salty on the sauce, but large portions and cheap prices make up for it. I luv teriyaki! $4 extra for a double? Redeye ahead of you? No brainer. You know the bathrooms are going to be awesome the minute you walk in this classy joint. Decor is heaven, and the back patio is so swank to chill. And if you think all thats good... Try the food. Best of all? Totally made my cool spots to potty. One of the best salads I've ever had. Lettuce, cucumbers, goat cheese, pecans, apples, grilled chicken. A nice little place for lunch or dinner before catching a flight. Large selection of wines, too. Best clam chowder If your connection is tight and you need a bite, the Fish Bar offers some decent options, including a tasty grilled-fish taco. I've been going here since I was little (to the Rainier Beach location which sadly closed last year). Their pizza has this smoky, slightly spicy pepperoni....yum. Not fancy Italian at all, but always good. Their penne alla matriciana is also delicious. My picture of this place blows, but you gotta believe me that this is no ordinary bowling alley. Most bowling shoe rentals you want to put on rubber gloves to handle. The shoes here were like a new Zappo's arrival. Everything is clean, lively and smiling service. Great for a kid party or adults. Decent food at nightclub-like lane seating and Manny's on tap. Also, has a big lebowski theme going which strikes a nice chord with me. The Dude abides Spam musubi was the best thing I had to eat on my way to Iceland. I kid you not. Dilletante is also mandatory. Huddle is not just in Football. Alaska Airlines ground crew Huddle before taking care of arriving planes Alaska Airlines, headquarter in Seattle, pioneered one of the aircraft livery using pictures representing what Seattle is known for, i.e. The Pacific Salmon. It helps being in the same home of the Boeing Company. Ready for Portland Sarana International Buddhist Center (SIBC), In Tukwila, Washington. Its altar includes Buddha statues and paintings from Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, China, Burma, and India. One of the resident monks, Venerable Pra Mahamuni Lim Sovann, and many of those who attend the large gatherings at the temple near Sea-Tac airport are Cambodian. But, the abbot, Bhante Polwatte Pagnananda hails from Sri Lanka. SIBC, which was established in 1998, is open to anyone who wants to learn about Buddhism or practice Buddhist meditation. Regular religious services are held every Sunday morning starting at 9 a.m. #LIFEATEXPEDIA Sarana International Buddhist Center (SIBC), In Tukwila, Washington. Regular religious services are held every Sunday morning starting at 9 a.m. #LIFEATEXPEDIA Chain restaurant with a fun Caribbean vibe. The Firecracker Shrimp were tasty, as was the Ultimate Pina Colada. Debatably Trove-worthy, but we all get stuck at airports. I think Ex-Officio is the best travel gear out there. Great, clean, quiet lake with a nice park setting and a playground. Live music on summer nights while you sit on the grass. Who woulda thought in Seatac?? There is no Admiral's club here. There was one until 2005. They give priority leaning to their top tier flyers, the rest stand. (kidding). Do yourself a favor and stay in the marketplace area as long as you can stand.
