2nights stay

Posted Jan 26, 2016
The hotel was very clean and spacious. I asked and got the room with a harbor view. There were few restaurants nearby but were limited in selections. The indoor pool, jacuzzi and gym were nice amenities. It's a bit far to the tourist areas, so you do need a car if that is the reason for your visit. I opted to park in the hotel's indoor garage since it rains so much in Seattle. There's a charge of $27 a day for the garage parking. I saw some people park in the metered lot across the street as an alternative. Overall, this hotel worked very well for me.

Nice and close to our meeting. Staff very helpful.

Staff went as far as opening the underground garage for a visiting friend to temporarily park there free of charge.

Short Stay Return to Seattle

Posted Jan 18, 2016
Pros: Location and room. A bus stop to Downtown is outside hotel entrance
Cons: Revert to Buffet breakfast. Serve hot food on warm plates thus avoiding meal being cold before finishing
Location: Easy to walk to Space Needle and other parts of city. Local bars are worth visits. Lake is worth visit but not on a wet day in January.
Having stayed previously at this hotel, returning was an easy decision. Recent refit of the Reception area is impressive but change from Buffet breakfast system was a poor decision. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Room excellent but, that said, TV signal strength was poor as was the channel choice (may be associated with signal strength). Expected better in hotel with Marriott name. Receptionist promised to resolve problem before room used again. Anticipate returning again to this hotel; generally very good and in an ideal location to visit the City whilst en route to Portland.

Good location on Lake Union

Posted Jan 5, 2016
Clean room with a"lake view" which was mostly of the hotel itself. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, pubs and restaurants within walking distance, secure parking, overall a very quiet stay. The Bistro is not open late, but the Market does offer limited late night selections. Great for people looking for something a little quieter but still within walking distance of many Seattle attractions.

Beware of expensive parking!

Posted Jan 4, 2016
I think the parking should be mentioned when booking; it was $27/ day and the taxes to stay in downtown Seattle are very expensive. If I would have known that I would have probably stayed else where. Also, when I asked for towels it took them hours to bring them. However, I did like the restaurant area! The staff was friendly and it was nice to socialize with other guests. If I stayed at this hotel again it would definitely be because of the staff/ customer service. I appreciated that they were polite and courteous.

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience at our hotel particularly our customer service! Thank you for sharing your review of our hotel on Expedia.com. While we do post our parking charge on our website and on signs outside the hotel, this cost should also be mentioned when booking and I will be looking into why this was not done for you when you booked your reservation. Thank you, again, for sharing your feedback! Sincerely, Rachel Packard Front Office Supervisor

Nice hotel, uncharacteristic behavior by staff.

Posted Jan 3, 2016
After checking in me and my wife needed to eat. While at the bistro a strange man was pointedly stating at me and my wife. It was to the point that I was becoming concerned and was going to go talk to this person. He walked away just when I turned back to see if he was starting. If you have a problem with me then call me up and talk to me. When you bring my wife into it, we have a serious problem. Then a management dressed person was by the table where we sat to meet some friends of ours. We were all partaking before heading to Seattle center. He also pointedly looked us over as if to say he didn't approve of something. I don't know if it was my guests or me or what. He also turned and walked away at the point I would have said something. I think this is bad form and poor training in my opinion.

As far as the "experience" it was overall great. I am not "cheap" but at a $300 1 night stay I was VERY disappointed that the parking cost an extra $27 and breakfast for 2 was $40. I will not be staying again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our hotel on Expedia.com. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our staff's service and the views from your room! We do our best to keep our rates competitive with comparable hotels in the Seattle area. This especially relates to parking, as space for cars is at quite the premium in our ever-growing city. Part of the reason we, like most hotels downtown, charge separate rates for parking, is to help keep our garage open and available for our guests. At the same time, we do our best to keep the Courtyard experience consistent for our guests no matter where they travel. This is why we recently renovated our restaurant space into our Bistro, where breakfast and dinner are available for purchase daily and can be enjoyed in our stylish new space or packaged to-go for your convenience. Wishing you all the best in your future travels! Sincerely, Rachel Packard Front Office Supervisor

Conveniently Located

Posted Dec 25, 2015
My family and I enjoyed our stay here and found the hotel to be conveniently located. The rooms were spacious enough and clean. The staff were helpful and accomodating. Only negative is that you can hear the vehicle traffic on Westlake Ave in your room and the seaplanes taking off can be rather loud. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

We had a very nice one night stay. Clean, quiet room and very friendly staff. Just wish we could've had a water view.
