Bait and switch

Posted Apr 19, 2017
Pros: Shuttle
Cons: Front desk revamp. Better management up front.
Paid for a 375 square ft room in tower and got a 310 square ft room on ground level. This was done by the manager who had no clue we had a reservation. Was told it would cost another 80$ and breakfast. No thanx Hilton.

Nice facilities; painfully overpriced "restaurant"

Posted Apr 15, 2017
Pros: My Hilton Honors floor room was nice and quiet in the midst of a very crowded event. Event rooms were nicely organized and ample.
Cons: They must reconsider restaurant pricing. With little other than fast food nearby, feeling "trapped" and ripped off gives a bad impression.
Location: Near the airport; good freeway access. It has a free shuttle but expensive parking. Taxis and transit from the airport serve downtown.
I've stayed at this hotel a few times, most recently on a sold-out night during a large science fiction convention. Although the hotel must have known they would be sold out weeks if not months in advance, they were understaffed. My room wasn't ready until after 5 pm, because the cleaning staff was behind, and check-in desk was sometimes staffed by only one person in spite of a very long line forming. The next day, on checkout, I put my bag into storage for a few hours. When I went to retrieve it, there was no one at the concierge table, and I had to hunt down someone to get it for me--a person who seemed unhappy to be interrupted in his other duties. Most of the staff was pleasant, however. I'm sure on a less full day they would operate a bit better. The meeting areas of the hotel were dated in decor but ample and well laid out, with restroom facilities scattered at comfortable intervals. I did notice wheelchair access on the meeting floor was not well thought through, however. My room in the main tower was nicely appointed, and the climate control worked well and quietly. My main complaint is about the bar and restaurant. It was understaffed, loud, and extremely overpriced. A meal consisting of a small salad with apple and walnuts, a cup of clam chowder, and a mixed drink was $40 with tip--though I think I was brought their "large" salad by mistake, the large was small enough that I didn't suspect it until the bill came! A beer was $8.

Centrally located across from SeaTac Airport

Posted Apr 13, 2017
Pros: Quiet and secure parking.
Cons: Slightly faster check-in. I was in the HIlton Honors line to check in and no one was available.
Location: Airport across the street. South Center mall is not far away either.
Super easy check in and plenty of onsite parking. Decent selection on the menu in the bar also. I have stayed multiple times and now they are part of the Hilton group which is awesome as well!

Nice hotel close to the airport.

Double Tree Hotel was comfortable, with no noise, best sleep I had in a hotel. It's free shuttle and free airport parking is unmatchable.

Close to Airport

Proximity to the airport a plus. Rooms are clean however, those in the tower face new construction/demo being done.

Good but construction

Posted Apr 6, 2017
The place was great, but the hotel staff told us there was construction right behind the building which started every morning at 8:30-9:00 AM (which would have been fine). Unfortunately, it started every morning but Sunday at 7:00 AM and was quite noisy and woke us up.

Really Close to Seattle Airport

Posted Apr 2, 2017
Chosen for close proximity to Seattle International Airport, punctual free shuttle from rental car return and airport, good enough room, quiet considering how close to airport. No breakfast at all offered, just tea/ coffee.
