Nice hotel BUT rude Starbucks staff left bad taste

It's a good hotel, big clean rooms, big comfy bed and pillows. Although older, its very well maintained and has the classy feel. But Starbucks downstairs baristas are very rude to customers. Wow, never have we encountered such aweful service esp. from Starbucks. Unbelievable!

Place to stay near airport

Comfortable stay with prompt shuttle service to Sea-Tac. Hotel has unique design but is a bit of a labyrinth to negotiate. Confusion on finding your room, much less making your way back to the lobby at checkout is hard on the travel-weary. Doesn't help that room numbers don't necessarily begin with the floor you are on. Also, $50 incidental charge has still not been reimbursed 24 hours after checkout.

Near airport, reliable airport shuttle

Overall very good but there were two disappointing factors. 1) king bed room not available, despite being reserved, the reservation staff didn't offer anything to make up for the fact that the room I had reserved was not available - a drink token or breakfast token would have been an easy way to say "sorry we couldn't accommodate you" 2) I know that if I book with expedia some Hilton properties won't give you the points but they've ALWAYS honored my Hilton Honors status before. Here the reservation agent was so rude about it and said "yes, it really doesn't matter what status you have with Hilton Honors because you booked with a third party" - as a loyal Hilton guest it should ALWAYS matter - no matter how I booked my stay. Train your staff. But there were some good things: Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel had good amenities and convenient location. The airport shuttle runs 24 hours a day and is VERY punctual - something that frequent travelers really appreciate, especially when catching extremely early morning flights.

Vacation

Pros: Shuttle service-cookies-nice big room-gift shop-foodservice. The fact that our room was ready when we got there was really nice!
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Great airport location. Mall nearby and great dining spots!
Great customer service and the room was ready when we arrived. After a seven day cruise-we were really exhausted and needed to rest so we appreciated not having to wait on our room. Hotel dining was also nice. Shuttle was on time to take us to the airport. Hand washing is awesome-that may sound funny-trust me-you will love it!

Great hotel with amenities close to th airport

Stayed here after our cruise, to see Seattle for 36 hours before our flight to the east coast. This hotel was perfect for storing our luggage and transferring to the airport and catching the train to downtown Seattle. It was comfortable and spacious with all the amenities plus cookies. Would definitely stay at a doubletree again.

There needs to be a counter in bathroom for vanity

Forget the cookies, focus on customer service

This hotel near the airport seems to favor the needs of airline pilots/attendants only. We watched them check in/out constantly as we waited 4 hours for an early check-in, which we were prepared to pay extra for. After 3 repeated attempts to get our room, they realized that they forgot to tell the cleaning staff. 15 mins later (and 15 mins after the official 3pm check-in time) our room is ready. How clean can a 3-bedroom suite be with just a 15-min cleaning? At checkout, we asked for a luggage cart that never arrived. Had to walk from one end of the long complex to the other with all our bags, car seats and kids in tow. We didn't receive any help from the staff. This was a very disappointing stay in SeaTac. We'll choose another family-friendly location next time.

Could be fine but wasn't

Hotel is huge. Room was 3 city blocks from front desk. NO hot water in room. Since I had a muscle injury that made movement hard - which was exacerbated by 10 min. walk to room - changing rooms was not an option, esp. since I didn't realize it till 10 pm and was leaving at 5 am. Room was clean and comfortable. If you drive to room and have hot water, it's probably nice. But plan on a hike to get to restaurant and gym.

Cons: Parking prices.
Did not use any services but all appears nice, beds are great, room was clean and it is close to decent eating places, some within walking distance. Parking is expensive. We would expect pricey parking in a downtown area not out at the airport.

Great for Sea-Tac

Pros: Close to the airport; many restaurants in the vicinity.
Cons: Some updating of the carpet.
Very close to the airport, one can even walk there. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to it that runs frequently. Nice outdoor swimming pool; rooms are large.
