A hot, sticky mess.Posted Sep 17, 2015
Pros: Close to Interstate 5.
Cons: Improve the cleaning of the eating area, replace carpet in the stairwell, replace anything that is gold or brass..
Okay so this is an older motel trying to get through a remodel. It's about 10 years late- the hotel has some areas that are in very poor condition- the chairs have split covers, carpet is worn and much of the hardware on doors and inside the rooms is older gold colored 80's looking stuff. The free breakfast and happy hour are nice- the downside is the cleaning here sucks- all the tables and chairs area always sticky, the staff simply do not clean the surfaces enough.

SUCH A GREAT PLACEPosted Sep 15, 2015
Pros: The people, the location, and the hotel itself was so beautiful and clean
Cons: Maybe pillow cushions on the couch?
Location: The mall was close, many restaraunts, and the freeway was easy to get to to head to Seattle.
We will be coming back here for sure as well as looking into Embassy Suites Hotels first on all of our future trips! The service was amazing, the location was great, and the room itself was truly perfect! Our only regret was only being in town for 1 night!

Dated amenities, dank smell, power went outPosted Sep 7, 2015
We stayed for 5 days, the hotel needs a make over. the carpet needs to be replaced throughout; it makes the entire complex smell. Our room keys never worked properly after a windstorm knocked the power out for 12 hrs on our first night. The elevators went down due to the power outage and we were required to use the stairwell. The stairwell was disgusting, reeked of mildew and appeared not to have been cleaned in years. The continental breakfast was good but very disorganized and there was limited variety.

Very disappointed.Posted Sep 7, 2015
Cons: Staff friendliness.
Front desk staff not that friendly. The room service doesn't come until 4 and after. The gift shop is no longer open so you need to go out if you forgot something. Dining area furniture worn and old. Had a great stay last year so very disappointed this time,

My stay was during the power outage. I could not check in as there was no power but the staff did a great job the next day handling all the people. Rooms could use an update but all in all it was a good stay for the price. I would stay again.

Pros: The location was great, it seemed very well kept with a nice lay out. The breakfast buffet/omlete bar was great!
Cons: The room was a little dated...probably needs to be updated within the next 10 years.
Location: Alderwood Mall w/Lego Store and American Girl Store as well as many amazing restaurants is a must.
My teenage daughter and I spent the weekend at the at Embassy Suites to go back-to-school shopping at Alderwood Mall. Everything went very smoothly....we plan to do it again next year.

Stay clear of this hotel!Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
Where do I begin...my fiancé and I were really looking forward to a great vacation in Seattle. Upon getting into our suite, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. I specifically requested a smoke free room and was assured that the entire hotel is smoke free but they recently switched over to an all smoke free building. When I asked if I could change rooms because of sensitivity to smoke, the front desk associates told me that the smell was from glue used to install new carpets in their "newly renovated" suites and that they wouldn't switch our room. We never received housekeeping for two days and had to actually ask for it. After requesting it for the second day in a row, housekeeping barged into the room and demanded to clean it at 5:00pm when my fiancé and I were in the room getting ready for dinner. We had numerous problems with flies in our room too. The customer service wasn't great at meeting our requests that I don't think we're too hard to honor. The took $50 off our hotel bill but I don't think that makes up for poor customer service. We were also told that a manager would contact us to help resolve any issues we had with our stay but they haven't contacted us yet and it's been a few days now since checking out. Wouldn't stay at this hotel or another Embassy Suite again.

The morning breakfast buffet was lacking. The staff was very stingy with amount of food they used for fresh made omelets (asked for spinach I got two leaves!!!). If you want to see how clean a hotel is walk down the fire escape, it looked like this hotel never changed the original carpet in the fire escapes?
