Nice hotel

Posted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: I loved the large rooms and the rate was excellent.
Location: We stayed here for the close proximity to Safeco Field.
The check in staff was less than friendly. We chose the hotel because of the indoor pool, we were not informed ahead of time that it was closed for renovations. The elevator being broken was a little annoying because the place was full so we either had to wait 10 minutes or so or take the stairs. The main floor was jam packed with teenagers playing soccer. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the hotel was going to be less than relaxing!

Nice sized room and good breakfast

Posted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: Bar, breakfast, location, quiet, free parking
Cons: Move the toilet paper rolls out from under/behind the counter. Nearly impossible to find.
Location: Right off I-90, great if going to a game. Close enough to the stadiums, but far enough away you don't have to deal with the high prices of downtown.
We checked into the room and one of the first things we found was a large wad of hair on the coffee table under the hotel binder. It wasn't quite scrub brush quality found in the movie Vacation, but still pretty gross. We went down to the bar/restaurant, and had some pizza and beer. The pizza was amazing and the bartender was great, and very friendly. It was nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The smell was a little funky in there, but they were in the middle of remodeling, so that may have been the source. Overall, it was decent for the price and I would stay there again.

Construction ongoing at hotel

Posted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: Nice rooms, good breakfast.
Cons: There are no safes in the room.
Location: Nice location. Access to freeway and shopping.
Ongoing construction affected the dining facility, dining service, and exercise room. Other than that, the hotel was great.

Hotel lobby under construction. My room was redone, some in our group were not. No construction noise heard, just visual.

Hotel under renovation

Posted Sep 15, 2015
Pros: The free breakfast buffet and the Managers cocktail party were great perks.
Cons: Directions for the TV along with a current program list would have been nice. The room was clean, however, the ice bucket not emptied each day.
Location: The hotel staff told us were to go to park for free and use the commuter train to get to Seattle. This allowed for easy access to downtown Seattle.
The hotel was under renovation and no mention was made of this. Parking was minimal and hard to find a spot that was not parking at your own risk. A wedding occurred during our stay which was very loud. There was only one elevator that was available for our use and we were on the 4th floor.

Several families stayed two nights for a wedding weekend. The kids loved swimming but the hotel is under construction. I feel that we should have been told about the construction and therefore I don't believe the hotel should have charged us the same price as when it is in good condition. The eating/atrium area was extremely noisy and worse than going to a cafeteria. We could here yelling and screaming until after 11 pm. I was very very disappointed and will not recommend an Embassy Suites to anyone. I don't care if we rented thru Expedia. They also should have been notified of the condition... OH - also, the parking is terrible. Very narrow spots and lighting only on the front of the building. A little light on one side and complete black out in the back. Who wants that?? They say they provide expedited check out, yet we didn't order anything, and didn't receive an invoice so had to get in line at the front desk to check out. Not a good place to stay.

Pros: Complimentary breakfast.
Cons: Lighting in parking lot. I did get billed for a bottled water that I never requested.
Location: Close to Seattle and other tourist attractions. Nice and quiet location.
Enjoyed the stay at Embassy Suites. Nice suites and amenities.

Hotel undergoing makeover

Posted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: The rooms are great.
Cons: warnings about on-going modifications
Location: Close to the homes of 2 of our daughters and families......reason we stay in this area when visiting.
When the makeover is complete, this hotel should be back to its usual pleasant standards. However, because of the inconvenience, I feel the price we paid $207 per night) was totally absurd. When I made the reservations, I was not warned that the hotel would be in such a state!
